That's been known to get her into a bit of a jam, losing love because of her music, but really she can't give it up or change herself for someone. She's the type of person that could not eat for days because she's writing a song, gets into it like never before. She believes that it's the best way to express yourself, also the reason for her many tattoos. Though she speaks her mind a lot, her tattoos express those deep dark feelings she hides inside of her. Expressing herself is key to her, most people call her a hippie because of it. But, she's not one of those people who love life, live life to the fullest, she's just your average every day girl, with a heart too big for most to handle.

Though she is strong willed, she does have a weak spot. She's very sensitive when it comes to her body, though she shows it off with dance moves, she hates being touched. Men or women, it takes time for her to warm up to the whole touching thing. It may be a phobia, but she doesn't see it as one, she just sees it as something called trust. Alex doesn't think highly of herself, she isn't someone to stick her nose high up in the air and walk around like she owns the place. She is a move reserved person, someone who takes one day at a time, figures things out as it goes. It makes her nervous when she needs to plan for the future, she just enjoys doing what she does best, from dancing to singing, she believes it's what she was born to do.

[/li][li] born in Barbados, she lived there with her family for most of her life. she was born first and last, after her it seemed like her mother couldn't have anymore children, since still-borns were before her. she enjoyed living with her family, but needed to get out on her own.
[/li][li] alexandria took singing lessons for years, learned how to play piano and soon after that, learned how to dance along with the beat. it really didn't take her so long to figure these things out, she naturally took up singing like second nature, or rather second language.
[/li][li]alex always had a connection to singing, she finds herself making up lyrics in her head or singing along with any random song on the radio. though most people are like that, it's not every day that you're actually good at these things, and though she's rather modest about it, she's put out quite a few videos.
[/li][li] she started early in her teen years, having moved to new york when she was around eighteen, she started putting out videos on the web, see if anyone took interest, wasn't long until someone did and made sure to pick her up before anyone else. but, she lost that edge that people liked, the reason she moved to california.
[/li][li] moving to california was the best idea she ever had, she put out another cd, and it seemed to take off, with each cd came a new hair style and color, changing herself for the public. though she swore she would never change her personality, and she sure as hell didn't. alex wanted to keep up appearances as who she was, alex brooks, someone who never took no for an answer, and had that fierce side hidden.
[/li][li] she doesn't really know where this side came from, her mother was a model so maybe that was where. but, alex never got herself into modeling, she was always told that she had flawless skin and a beautiful face, but modeling just wasn't for her. she rather have her nose in a book, scribbling down lyrics that popped into her head.
[/li][li] she was happy that she never went into modeling, she got enough attention as it was in high school, she didn't need to be posing half nude on magazines because her music was good. though, she wouldn't argue now if someone asked her to do such a thing, but back then it just wasn't for her. she hated the fact that she had a phobia of being touched, and it still stands today, she just can't see herself getting over it unless she really trusted the person.
[/li][li] living in california was going well, a lot of people here wanted to learn how to dance and be in videos with her, so she happily agreed to shoot some videos within the area, even if most of hers were back set in her hometown, some in new york, some just on a set, she could shoot just about anywhere. a few friends edit it all together, and that's where the final project that everyone sees comes in.
[/li][li] she's back and forth between areas, whatever fits her the best, she goes for it. she's one of those people who does the spontaneous thing, speaking her mind and doing what feels right. though you won't really find alex at the clubs or in bars, you'll find her busting a move right along the side of the street, doing what she does best.
[/li][li]now, she finds herself putting out her next cd, music videos coming out every so often, this time with fire red hair, showing that fierce side. not everyone could work that color, and she was honestly surprised that no one gave her shit about it, but she worked it out and seemed to be doing quite well.
