She loved things like this, but she couldn’t ever really go to them or enjoy them because she was always such a big part in them. Luckily, this was something that had a load of big names in it, so she was just another act for it. Nothing special. Sure, she had the biggest stage that she shared with Alex, but other than that, she was nothing special. Holly never really liked a whole lot of attention directed at her. She didn’t mind a little bit, but everyone did. Everyone liked to be recognized for their talents and achievements. Holly had enough attention when she had gotten pregnant to last a lifetime. She didn’t need any more people looking at her and fawning over her again for a long while. Besides, Jeremy fawned over her enough for the world anyway. That she didn’t mind. She liked the fact that Jeremy was so supportive of her work and always was happy that she was doing something. She did feel bad, though, that she kind of held him back from working for anyone else because she was always so busy or he had to watch Evan. She knew he loved Evan, so it wasn’t like it was punishment for him, but she did feel bad that she couldn’t take Evan with her everywhere she went. Like now, Evan was with Marcus so that Holly and Jer could come here and she could perform and they didn’t have to worry about making sure that Evan was comfortable and making sure he was getting fed on time. There was no way Evan could withstand even half of the noise volume that there would be here. There would have been way too much to worry about bringing anywhere near this place. She had no problems with Evan spending a lot of time with Marcus, but she did miss him. She always missed him, but she was his mother, that was supposed to happen. Holly didn’t perform until the next night, so here she was, wandering around the festival with Jeremy. She looked over at Jeremy who was walking next to her and smiled. “Jer, we should get food or something.” She pointed over to a booth that was selling all the traditional fair food. She knew it was so so incredibly bad for her, but she couldn’t help it. She loved the stuff. Didn’t everybody love stuff that was bad for them, though? She squeezed Jeremy’s hand and kissed his cheek as they walked. Holly was a very affectionate person. She couldn’t help it. She wasn’t going to start making out with him in public or something, but she certainly was not afraid of letting everyone know that they were together. It took them long enough to finally get together that she wanted to waste no time in letting the world know what happened and that they were finally together. And Jeremy seemed to not have a problem with it either, so that was a plus. |
