TAGGED: MARCUS Ten million romances, and not a single one kept, Dylan Lacey, was known for money, and for her torn heart, often seen at the sets of the romance films she put her money into, she'd always hoped that with her help, love stories would make it to the big screen, helping someone out there find their match. People all of the world could fall in love and keep it, forever. Eventually, love would find her right, she'd always prayed for the day that someone could love her as much as she loved them. That was the trouble of it all, she feel in and out of love like others found favorite songs, or favorite foods. A flavor of the week or month, it was sad to say that her girly crushes hadn't aged along with her, but she was always finding the gushy feelings all in the wrong places. Guys used her and threw her away like wal-mart bags. Everyone knew that it was better for the earth to recycle, but everyone found them in their trash, everyone was guilty of it. Her heart had been broken so many times, the scars that lined it was as brittle. Every guy that crossed her path gave her hope, and in a hopeless romantic's life, that was very dangerous. Marcus, was a guy she had known for a while, a good looking guy with a heap of trouble. She'd always liked the hopeless, the ones that were falling apart, a simple way to fix what is broken. Even if she couldn't fix herself, she always had hope to help others, even if they didn't think they were worth saving. She hoped that Marcus and Holly could work out whatever they had going on, if not for themselves, but for that baby. The worse things got, the more it sounded like it was a lost cause, and even though that saddened the hopeful, Dylan refused to give up on Marcus that he should move on and keep others close to him, even if he was caught up in a mess, he deserved to have those that cared about him near. Getting ready, she felt like a 50's house wife, dressing and cooking the man dinner, knowing he didn't often find himself out of his apartment other than to work, his eating habits weren't the best. Once she had everything ready she headed to his apartment, once at the door, she took a deep breath, food in hand, before closing her eyes and snapping them open, her knuckles hitting the hard wood in three heavy pounds. Waiting for the door to open, she stood there, strong, brave, even if she felt like she was shaking like a leaf. Good looking men were always trouble for her, smiling as the door slid open, her kind smile that made others want to smile as well, "I made you dinner." she said holding out the fine china that she'd placed the pasta in, "There's enough for two, if you want company." she said shyly. I got nothing for you to gain |
