Thinking back to the days where she had only breathed the California air, she could place herself her. If she needed something before her morning shift at the pool, she came here. If she needed a snack after her daily exercise regime or cheer practice, she would be here. Even when she didn’t feel like eating stuff on campus, Kaesyn came here. She’d been coming here since she was a little girl, mostly because her dad had grown up eating here. It was strange that she even still ate here, even with her parents living on the other side of town. I guess some things just don’t die and stick with you forever, and other things you just want to pass on to your children. Not because you think it’ll benefit them at all but because you want to keep the tradition going, have a story to tell them. She’d decided that was exactly what she wanted to do with her family, pass on the traditions that meant so very much to her. But, now that she was here, she was afraid the place had changed too much to be the place that she grew up having lunch in. Gathering her strength, Kaesyn pushed the door open and ventured inside. The place was still gorgeous. It was quaint, and quiet, but it had just the right amount of whatever it was that kept a place going. Kae couldn’t help but break into a smile and continued to walk forward. She waved at a couple of people even though she was sure that they wouldn’t remember her. Quickly, she noticed that she had the option to seat herself. That would probably be good for when she brought her kids here, seeing as so how little ones always ran to the table that caught their attention first. Absent-mindedly, she led herself through the café until she found a table for two that suited her. She was glad to be here again, but nervous to be meeting with the person she was meeting with. And she hated being the first one to a meeting; it always made her feel like she came off as that really anal and serious manager. But she was meeting with another manager, a friend, and this was no business meeting. Kaesyn hadn’t seen Brady since she took off for New York. And she hadn’t talked to him in just as much time, figuring that keeping in contact with Evan’s best friend wouldn’t be the smartest life choice. _Brady's life had changed dramatically since the ways he had cruised the streets of Los Angeles as a carefree bar manager & racetrack owner. Those jobs had been low key. Out of the public eye for the most part. But being a manager & to somebody as boystarous as Evan Buckley forced a guy to step out into the spotlight if only to keep Evan under control. Sometimes Brady missed those long gone carefree days. He'd been engaged to marry but that had fallen apart all around him within a few months leaving Brady back to square 1. Drinking, doing drugs & all alone. It had been Evan who had picked him up and brushed off the dust from his weary shoulders and talked him into a different direction in life. Evan James Buckley and Brady Adam Hunter represented what true friends stood for and did for one another.

_Other friends had disappeared into the distance of his past but Brady had often wondered what had become of Kaesyn one of the very few girls that got involved with Evan that he could actually stand. But he had never thought that he'd see her again. It had come as a shock to be contacted after so long by the one & only Kae. He'd accepted the invite instantly.

_Making his way to their chosen location Brady felt a little nervous not because he was scared of seeing Kaesyn more that he did not know what to say, If she would want to hear about Evan or the great things Brady had acheived since those long gone days. He entered the cafe & looked inside with a small smile as he spotted Kaesyn. Walking over slowly Brady said

"Been a while Kae...how are you doin?"

_Sitting himself down Brady looked towards Kae and then away. Their friendship had always been easygoing & hassle free. But he did not know how much she may or may not have changed over the years. He ordered a coffee & sat back waiting for her to speak to him.

Then again, she had much reason to be nervous. A lot had happened over the last two years. And she felt terrible for just leaving and not keeping in touch with Brady. She was sure that she should have been there through his Mya situation. Even though she wasn’t all that sure how much help or support she could have offered, she could have at least been there. Besides, Brady wasn’t just Evan’s friend anymore. Yeah, those two were a lot closer than she and Brady would ever be but they were still close. In fact, before leaving, Kaesyn would always turn to Brady when she wasn’t sure of herself or her relationship with his best friend. Her kid was a big part of the reason she was nervous. Brady knew nothing about it but, Kae knew, if she had told Brady like she wanted too. She would have never left. She would have taken the internship that was in California and dealt with the fact that Evan didn’t want anything to do with their child. But telling Brady would mean that Evan would know before Kaesyn was ready for him to know. The fallout of telling Brady Hunter first would have been too large. And she didn’t want to have any kind of talk with Evan that brought out his hate for smaller beings. This entire ‘meeting’ was slightly stressing her out, and that explained the glass of wine sitting in front of her. She took a small sip of it before a familiar face appeared on the other side of the table. ”You look good, Brady.” Kaesyn announced instantly, placing her glass back in its place off to the left. She looked at him. He didn’t seem like he had aged, not too much anyway. Which meant that things with Mya had either been a lot worse than she imagined or that he was dealing with everything just fine. At least, she’d heard that he and Mya were officially done. She couldn’t remember how official they were before she left at the moment. That didn’t matter though. Because he looked good, and he had ordered coffee. Any worry she had that he’d relapsed was put on hold at that decision. At least for now. She felt like she should watch what she said to him. Other than obvious child topics, she wasn’t sure that she wanted to ask him about Mya. And she most definitely didn’t want to talk about Evan. ”I’ve been great. New York was good to me.” she said with a bright smile. Lifting her head up a bit, she shrugged her shoulders. ”But, I can’t stay away from home. How have you been? How’s the track? If you’re still running the track…What have you been up to?” The words pouring out of her mouth. It hadn’t occurred to her until now that she had probably missed a lot.
