grabbing a small table tucked back into a corner, she sat down, looking around for the familiar face. a young woman, about her age, approached, smiled and asked what she would like to drink. 'ice water, and a gray earl, no sugar, extra cream.' aalina was odd with her tea and coffee, she couldn't stand sugar in either of them. brushing her blond curls back, she pulled her phone out of her purse to check what time she was supposed to be meeting with rae. she had taken extra steps to make sure she was on time, knowing she had no sense of time to her. she had no concept of arriving early, or even on time, just showing up when she felt like it. it was a horrible habit, one that she was trying to work on. one that she had managed to beat that day, arriving early.
adjusting her dress slightly, she shifted in her seat as she waited, both on her friend and her drink. she thought about when all three used to come here; rae, alex, and herself. but with alex on tour, aalina found herself spending more and more time with rae just the two of them. they had always been close, but it was nice to spend time one on one. as the young waitress brought her water out, she smiled, "Thanks,"[/style]
