The upcoming 2013 animated movie was based on Cats, a classic Broadway production and one of Dallas’ favorite musicals. Dallas was known for his eccentric tastes and his love for dabbling in the peculiarities of the world. Most of the roles he’d taken on as an actor revolved around a quirky, unusual oddball of some kind. From drunken pirate Captain Jack Sparrow, to Sweeney Todd the demon barber, and of course the eccentric and temperamental Mad Hatter. Dallas’ tendency to connect himself with these types of characters related to his childhood. He’d always been an outcast himself and never really fit in with a crowd nor did he care to. Perhaps it was for that reason that he was somewhat of a recluse in his present age. He wasn’t necessarily antisocial and the man was in no way a hermit. In fact he enjoyed sharing his philosophies and oddities with other people whether or not they cared to listen. However, he did value his privacy and he took certain measures to make sure that he still got it despite his fame. Not only did he connect to many of his characters in that they were often cast out of society, but he just enjoyed taking on roles that most people wouldn’t dare try. What was the fun in being like everybody else and conforming to what was considered normal? Acting was his outlet and a way for him to express himself and he wanted to push his boundaries. Stepping out of the box wasn’t nearly enough. Dallas preferred to be cannonballed from it. Today Dallas had a meeting scheduled to sit with his co-producer and discuss the movie and its direction. They’d gotten the budgeting together for it and the script was set. With voice recording beginning soon they still had to settle the issue of filling out the rest of the casting positions. Apparently the casting director was still scourging up actors and sifting through names for who would fit the movie best. But aside from discussing filming matters, it was important for Dallas to maintain the relationship between himself and Noah. The two men would be working closely together on the project throughout the rest of the film just as they’d done up to this point, and it was important for them to keep communication open between each other. Dallas sat in a private section of the country club restaurant, a table that was set further back in the corner away from the hustle and bustle of the rest of the crowd. Fortunately this was a high class establishment that didn’t let just any riffraff through its doors, so they wouldn’t have to worry about squealing fangirls or intrusive paparazzi during their conference. The reservation was made under Dallas’ name. Not like he needed a reservation. Dallas had a membership with the country club, but he figured it would make things easier for Noah to be directed to his table. That way instead of hunting through the restaurant for him all the man needed to do was give Dallas' name and he would be led right to him. With a cigar in one hand and a Landy Cognac XO in the other, Dallas sat with his back against the wall and his cowboy hat pulled low over his eyes. From his position he had a good view of the restaurant and could see everything that went on. Just the way he preferred. The man took a sip of his brandy then set the glass on the table, resting his hand right next to it as he lifted the cigar to his lips with the other. After skimming the room once he lowered his head slightly to study the menu, the brim of his hat now covering most of his face, as he waited for his accomplice to arrive.
