She smiled a moment, sitting up slowly, her body was well rested and she felt great. She looked around the clean hotel room that Donovan and herself had been sharing for almost a week, his sleeping body was still covered up in the other queen sized bed. She bit her lip, his face so kind, soft features, he was so handsome and yet she hadn't even noticed till the morning after she kissed him. So much had happened since then, they barely spoke, weirdly enough they were still sharing a hotel room, but not on their account, the hotel had been completely booked, and every day she went down to the lobby, praying for a change of situation. Her long curls hung around her shoulders, flowing down her back, she crept out of her bed quietly, grabbing a set of clothes and changing in the privacy of the bathroom. After she was ready, she came out of the bathroom, she came to the bedside of her everything, and knelt down on her knees, looking down at his face. She smiled, before kissing him softly on the forehead, an act that would have been normal over a month ago, second nature, now it felt foreign. She waited for his eyes to flatter open, his dark iris finding hers, the look of shock that after a week of completely ignoring him, she'd made an effort to have a conversation with him. "We need to talk." she said softly, pushing his dark curls off his forehead, and standing up to sit on her now made bed. She felt awkward, like even though she'd thought about it for days, even talked to Malo about what she should do, she couldn't find the words that made sense to even her, how was she even going to begin to make them make sense to him? Her eyes darted back to his body, so solid, how had she never noticed before how much of a catch he was? She struggled to find his eyes, "I.. um." she hesitated wishing he had the sense to sleep with more clothes on, at least a shirt. Her cheeks reddening a little, she bit the inside of her cheek, "I'm sorry for the silent treatment," she said, her eyes welling up with tears, as she finally spoke, it killed her to not talk to him, he was everything that made her feel safe and home. She felt alone in the city and everything was going crazy. "I.. didn't like it at all." she said honestly, tears spilling out over her now thinning cheeks, the stress had caused her to skip meals, "I just didn't.." she started looking away as she wiped them away quickly, "I didn't know what to say or do." she said in a raspy voice, she had prayed for strength to keep her from crying though this conversation, but even her faith had failed her. even when its not right |
