PB: Up to you. I’ve provided some inspiration for what he should look like. Muscular and hot are the only requirements. Oh, and that he fits in the age range.

Hometown: ?? (was in Central Florida Reception Center, an Orange County Correctional Facility located in Orlando, FL)
Current town: Los Angeles,CA
Occupation: Bodyguard is probably the only thing he can do considering his criminal record

History:
His upbringing and family history are up to you. He should have gone to college at the University of Central Florida from 2005-2009, meeting and beginning to date Mikaela the same year he graduated. He couldn’t find a job after graduation so he moved in with Mikaela. He’s had various run-ins with the law, mostly resulting from bar fights and things of that nature. None of it really escalated into anything too serious. Mikaela was terribly in love with him but they both had hot tempers. Their fights would escalate into raging arguments. The first time he hit her was a year into their relationship. Ethan had never laid his hands on a woman before and was incredibly sorry. Mikaela was furious and almost left him, but she secretly feared being alone and blamed herself for the incident, so she stayed. Ethan became increasingly controlling after that, but their fights continued the same way. He never hit her bad enough to injure her but enough to leave a few marks. Their fights usually revolved around Mikaela’s job choice and the fact that Ethan had no job. He complained about her work but relied heavily on her income, which Mikaela found to be hypocritical and infuriating. They really did love each other, but it was a very dysfunctional relationship filled with jealousy and bitterness. It was inspired by Eminem’s “Love the Way You Lie”. As their relationship progressed it became more and more apparent that Ethan had a problem with violence and anger management but Mikaela always felt she was at fault because he’d never had any issues before he met her. One day Mikaela and Ethan were fighting loudly as was typical, only this time Ethan had wielded a gun. He never shot at her but rather shot up toward the ceiling in an effort to scare her. The neighbors called the police and Ethan was arrested. Eventually he was convicted of aggravated assault with a sentence of 3 years. After successfully completing his anger management courses and ‘decent prison behavior’ he was released early with a year of probation. He’s allowed to leave the state so long as he’s relocating for work. He conveniently found himself in LA, where Mikaela lives, looking for a job as a bodyguard. He’s here to cause trouble for her and Dominic, while trying to keep his slate clean so he doesn’t land himself back in jail. He is likely to want to get back with Mikaela as he really did love her, but at this point she’d probably be with Dominic, her final. I think his return would cause a flurry of emotions for her, including anger, guilt, and confusion. And I’d imagine he’d stir up trouble for a lot of other people too.

Personality:
Ethan is charming and relatively thoughtful. That’s what had Mikaela attracted to him in the first place. Well, that and his arrogance. She seems to have a thing for that. He’s smart and well spoken. At first glance, most wouldn’t detect him to have an issue with anger or violence. The issues with anger management are almost like a Hulk thing. He has no control over it and doesn’t intend for it to happen. However, because Mikaela did start a lot of their fights he didn’t feel as bad as he probably should have as far as she was concerned. Now that he’s taken his anger management classes, Ethan is really trying to get his life back in order. But it’s a struggle, especially when his temper is tested.

This character is really important to me so I’d be really sad if you disappeared on my or abandoned him. Lastly, his history and future (well part of it) with regard to Mikaela are very specific. But I don’t want that to deter you from playing him! Everything else is up to you. His life doesn’t revolve around her. He’s just instrumental to her plot. David Menendez, 45-55

Hometown: Guines, Cuba; Miami, FL
Current Residence: Los Angeles, CA
Occupation: Something to do with construction or working on the set

History:
David came to United States in the early 80s to obtain a work visa. After a few years of steady work as an electrician in the states he returned to Cuba for a short period. During this time he met Maria, Mikaela’s mother. The two fell in love and conceived Mikaela. Maria moved back with David to the US so that she could obtain citizenship and so that Mikaela would be born as a citizen. Mikaela was born shortly after their marriage and Maria became a citizen soon after that. However, just a few short years into their marriage, David became overwhelmed with life as a husband and father and eventually left their family when Mikaela was just three years old. He came back into their lives about 6-7 years later, making promises to be a better father. However, David never managed to be a stable force in Mikaela’s life. He missed birthdays, dance recitals, plays, etc. He was probably around for about third of her accomplishments. I toyed with the idea of him having another family and not telling her about them. She’d have a sister and everything…maybe. We can talk about that. Anyway, now he’s moved to Los Angeles and really wants to try and make things right with her. Mikaela is unsure of what she wants because she’d been craving his attention for years and he’d never given it to her the way she’d wanted. Now he appears out of nowhere making promises she’s sure he can’t keep. She’ll think that he wants something from her like money or a job when all he really wants is to make amends. She won’t make it easy.

Personality:
David is kind of gruff but underneath his hard exterior he is loving and caring. He’s more the tough-love type. Not really into hugs and kisses and Mikaela can’t help but hold that against him. The rest is up to you so long as it fits with the plot.
