quirks. she always writes in black pen, and she has a whole stack of them at home. when she gets nervous she wont be able to stop fidgeting. when she's bored she googles all of her old friends from school to see what they've been up to. finds if hard to sleep when she has something on her mind.
aspirations. always enjoy what she's doing. get back in contact with her family. fall in love.
secrets. jenn was pretty much disowned by her family after losing her virginity in high school and now she desperately wants to be in their lives again, her sister's especially.
personality evaluated.
impulsive. jenn has gone through most of her life with an "act first think later" attitude. some of the time it's worked for her, but most of the time it's just started the ball rolling for something not so good happening in her life. the main example of this would be during high school. she became a cheerleader and was soon sucked into that world. she found that she loved it and fit it in well. she then met the basketball player with the cute smile and a way with words and she was a goner. when her parents found out that she'd slept with him, they wanted nothing more to do with her, and so she spent the rest of her high school life living with her grandmother, ellen. she hasn't changed much since then; getting a tattoo whilst drunk with her friends one night - luckily it wasn't garish or anything...
agnostic. jenn had grown up in a christian household, and so had gone to church most sundays, every easter, every christmas eve... you get the idea. christmas wasn't about santa or presents, it was about the birth of jesus. easter didn't mean chocolate eggs, it was remembering how jesus rose from the dead. she hadn't exactly had all of this crammed down her throat, because she didn't mind church and sunday school and praying. but as she grew older, she started to question it. at first she voiced her questions, but when it became apparent that her parents were having none of it, she asked other people. the more she thought about it, the more she started to doubt it, and so she attended church less frequently, telling her parents that she didn't feel well... until they cottoned on. she attended church after that because her parents told her to, and she loved them, so she did. she still listened, wanting to make sure she had both sides of the argument before she made her ultimate decision on the topic. she hasn't come to a conclusion yet, and so still attends church, although not as regularly as she once had.
helpful. jenn has always been the kind of girl that holds doors open for others. during her schooling if someone didn't have everything they needed, jenn would be the first to offer up her own things to help them. jennifer's manners have always been to a very high standard, even after moving out of her parent's house - her childhood home. she looked after her grandmother in anyway she could, doing the shopping, cooking meals etc. she has a habit of putting others before herself a lot of the time, which isn't great, because whilst she was always putting people before her, she wondered constantly if anyone was putting her before themselves.
technical wizard. jenn is quite the doctor dolittle of the world of technology. okay so maybe she doesn't actually talk to computers and such, but she pretty damn good at fixing phones and laptops and anything else you can think of. she's not amazing at it, but she can fix little things here and there and is one for helping others if she can. when she isn't fixing things, she's most likely on them. she'd be lost without her iphone, partly because she does a lot of her work on there, managing times and such, and partly because she's pretty much addicted to all the apps you can get. she spends too much money on them, but she loves getting new apps. call it obsessed - well, what else would you call it? - but she's fine with it.
bookworm. if jenn's head isn't glued to her iphone of her laptop (or on a pillow) it's probably in a book. she hasn't always loved to read, but when she moved in with her gran her hobbies had to change slightly. since then, she's always had a book on the go, whether it be a romance, or a stephen king novel. she has to admit that she really does like the classics, and she has the entire collection of books written by the bronte sisters. she'll read most things, although if you shove a copy of twilight under her nose she wont be afraid to throw it at you, and her aim's not too bad...
needs to set things straight. jenn is the kind of person that doesn't like leaving things half done, and if she knows that someone's angry slash annoyed slash upset slash whatever at/wish her, then she wont feel better until she's fixed it... even if it's beyond fixing. her family is a prime example of this, and right now they're her number one priority. her parent's don't want anything to do with her, but she desperately wants them to be a part of her life, and for her to once again be a part of theirs. her sister is not as bad, but still lives at home and so seeing her is just as difficult.

history evaluated.
jennifer elise de silvers was born on september 24th, 1987 to garrett and rosemarie de silvers. she hadn't exactly been planned, but in the eyes of her parents, that didn't matter because they were married and therefore in the eyes of God they had done nothing wrong. jenn was born a little over a year after her parents were married. she grew up in a religious household and therefore was religious. she attended church and sunday school and could name all of the books in the dictonary, she didn't really know anything different. jenn's younger sister was born three years later, and in the eyes of people looking at them, they were the 'perfect' family. jenn started school and seems to make friends easily. nothing all too interesting happens to her whilst she's in elementary school, or if it did, she's forgotten it.
middle school was a different story though. it all started in a religious education class. jenn was fine when the topic of discussion was based on christianity, but this lesson it was a different point of view that they were talking about... the point of view that maybe god didn't exist, and that the promise of heaven was a lie. she shouldn't have looked so deep into it, but she couldn't help it. jenn was intrigued by the idea that some people did not believe. she asked her parents about this, but their response wasn't the type of response that would make you ask them more questions. so she dropped it... for a while anyway. the next time she had questions, she went to her grandmother ellen, or one of her teacher's at school. the more she found out about the 'other side' of this debate, the more she found herself beginning to question everything she'd believed when she'd been growing up. it wasn't long before then that she became agnostic.
high school was when things started to go bad for miss j de silvers. her friends convinced her to try out for the cheer leading squad, which she did, and to her surprise she was picked for the squad. she never really expected to like it that much, but before long she was loving it. being a cheerleader opened many doors for jenn, maybe the largest one being the door that truely introduced her to the world of people with a y chromosome... aka boys. although the cheerleaders cheered for all teams at the school, the school's biggest sport was basketball, and so it was no surprise that the cheerleaders and the basketball players tended to be friends. it was one of her friends on the squad that introduced her to nicholas bradshaw. blue eyes, golden hair and the ability to know exactly what to say and exactly when to say it, it was no surprise that she developed a crush on him. apparently the feelings were mutual and they began to date in jenn's junior year. jenn had always been told that sex before marriage was wrong, and although she wasn't as religious anymore (she was trying to figure out what the hell she was) she knew that her parents would not be impressed when she got around to telling them that she had slept with nick. she herself didn't regret it at all. if they could go back in time, she wouldn't have changed it. but her parents reacted worse than she had ever imagined, and so after telling them, jenn found herself as good as homeless whilst still being a senior in high school. jenn moved in with the only other family she had in town: her grandmother. although also religious, she was not nearly as religious as her daughter - jenn's mother, and her son-in-law, jenn's father. jenn proceeded to finish her last year at high school, managing to get herself a place at ohio state university studying mathematics. she was so excited about it, that she expected everyone else to be. sadly that wasn't the case, and jenn almost gave it up to stay in california and therefore stay with nick (although she never told him this), but this was a once in a life time chance for her, and if she didn't take it, she knew she'd regret it in the future.
the breakup didn't exactly suit jenn. the summer was spent either sleeping in her bed until the afternoon, sitting on her laptop doing pretty much nothing or reading a book she'd read five times already. her friends, worried about her, tried to take her mind off of it by taking her to a party. subsequently she got drunk and decided that getting a tattoo would be a great idea. luckily for jenn, it wasn't huge and it actually looked okay. still, this wasn't painting a good picture of herself for her parents. she still wanted desperately for them to let her back into their lives before she went off to college for four years. sadly it didn't happen, and it was ellen whom helped her move to ohio.
college passed by pretty much in a blur. she got her degree and managed to wiggle her way into the world of pa-ing. her first employer (so to speak) worked in an office and so jenn tightened up on her computer skills immensely whilst working for him. sadly he retired not long after she began there and so she had to find someone else. it was pure luck that she met leanna booth, an up and coming actress who's pa had recently moved across the pond to england. leanna was closer to jenn's age and so when she received a phone call telling her that she was now miss booth's assistant, she was over the moon.
when leanna told jenn that she planned on moving to new york, jenn was ecstatic. it was one of the places that she'd always wanted to go to yet never got around to it. and now she'd be living there. it was great. the only downside was that it was the opposite end of the country to california... to her family... to her grandmother. but she would find the time to go and visit. leanna and jenn had already become good friends and sometimes it felt as if they were best friends, rather than an actress and her assistant.

roleplay sample.Nope, it seemed as though not having her books wasn't going to get her out of this room any quicker. Damn. He slid his own book over so that it was in between the two of them. Of course he already had it on the right page. Apparently he was efficient like that. Too efficient in Charlie's opinion. She wondered how long Mrs Watts and he had been planning this. The preparation he'd done made her think that it would have to have been some time, but then again he could probably have gotten all of this together in five minutes. She didn't know all too much about him but from what she'd heard he didn't do much outside of school.
"Read the directions carefully. Mrs. Watts likes to trick students," He then pointed at the first question on the sheet with his pencil. Charlie let out a sigh and figured that she might as well humour him. She read the top of the sheet, her eyes skimming the words as quickly as they could whilst still taking in what it said. Since she figured she wasn't getting out of here until she actually did some work, her next plan of action was to put in the minimal amount of effort, in hope that he'd take it and let her get out of here. Once she knew what she had to do, she went on to read question number one. She'd done this stuff years ago, back when she could've given Gavin a run for his money. She probably still could, but no one knew that, and that was how Charlie wanted it to stay. She wasn't going to follow in her brother's footsteps, and if that meant barely making it through her finals this year then so be it.
Of course her and her brother had a lot of differences... He played the piano, Charlie couldn't play anything. He liked classical music, and she couldn't stand it. James was crazy and she wasn't... Well, she hoped that he wasn't. She'd read once that people who were crazy didn't really know they were crazy. If that was true then who knew? Of course she'd read this back in middle school so she might have remembered it wrong, but still.
She had the answer by now. Heck, she'd had the answer as soon as she read the question but she was putting it off, choosing instead to think about the upcoming weekend, since it was more interesting than English work. She hadn't made any plans... Yet. But she was okay with assuming that she'd probably meet up with Imogen and go find some party. That was how most weekends went. A small smile appeared on her face as she thought ahead, anticipating the weekend.
"She wasn't invincible, and you're not either," It was barely audible, but Charlie had definitely heard him speak. Her smile disappeared and was replaced with a look of confusion. Had he been speaking to her before and she hadn't been listening? She doubted it. But then why had he said that? She wasn't invincible? Who was he on about? Not her, because he'd gone on to say that she wasn't invincible either. She looked up from the sheet that was in front of her, trying to see if he was giving anything away. Her powers of deduction seemed minimal today though, but she thought she could see a slight blush. Maybe he hadn't meant to say what he said, at least not out loud.
"If you don't want to do English right now, we can switch to biology. I have some work in here," He was changing the subject now, which only added to Charlie's suspicions over what he said. He was rummaging through his backpack now, not paying any attention to her now. With that in mind, she picked up the pencil and wrote down the answer to number one. "To be honest I'd rather do neither and just go home..." She said as she finished writing, placing the pencil back down where she'd found it. Her mind was still trying to make sense of what he'd said before though. What on Earth had he meant about not being invincible?
