GENERATION X CAMPAIGN MONTH.

So you've probably figured out that the huge ass red X on the header isn't actually a sign that we were hacked, no!

Welcome to The Industry's Generation X campaign, a first ever in the site's one year history! With an incredible influx of characters in their early to mid twenties happening lately, the admins thought it'd be a cool idea to give some love to the most underrated and forgotten group on the site (and RP sites in general). We didn't want to impose a ban because we know that'd discourage potential members, and so we thought it'd be better to give a whole heap of encouragement & a massive push for you guys to make older characters. Namely the Generation X.

If you don't know what year Gen X were born in, it's around 1965 to 1981. Though that doesn't mean you can't make Baby Boomers either (those born before 1965) because we'd love that too!

So why make an older character you ask? Well first of all, we need them. Second of all, the entertainment industry is full of older aged professionals and are considered much more prestigious than "young Hollywood". When we talk A-listers we mean actors like Leonardo DiCaprio, Brad Pitt, Robert Downey Jr, Gweneth Paltrow, Angelina Jolie, Jennifer Aniston - who are all over the age of 30. As well, a lot of television and movie roles which require older characters are all being filled by actors who are way too young - a highly uncommon thing in Hollywood as it's actually the other way around.

We also need more older characters 'cause most of the current characters are pretty much plot-less!

Throughout this month, please consider making an older character, and we don't mean you go making a character who is exactly 30. We want variety and characters who aren't all 30 years old. Be bold, be original, be different, be part of this cause.

• As part of the campaign, we're giving out secret rewards to those who make older characters, sign up for a role or two, plot with other characters, and post like crazy. So post as much as you can throughout June because at the end of the month you might find yourself with something rather nice!
