just in case you guys want to come back here and reference this for anything on the site.
* HIERARCHY
* HIERARCHY
even in hollywood there's a hierarchy. you can chose to follow a certain path when it comes to hollywood. however, you start at the bottom, and you have to work hard to make it to the top. think you can do it?
careers.
FILM ACTORS film actors are strictly film only. word count is smaller, but more movie appearances in major roles are required. | TV/FILM ACTORS tv/film actors both appear on television & film. more work opportunities, but post count is higher. | CREW for those who love to be behind the scenes. can be directors, cinematographers, cameramen, lighting, etc. |
MANAGEMENT
a new feature on the industry, you can now have your characters as talent agents, managers, publicists, personal assistants, security, or whatever else is in an entourage. since these guys don't star in movies or tv shows (of course) they're separate from the hierarchy and don't move up the ladder like everyone else.

hollywood hierarchy.
the executive producers are the masterminds behind each and every film and television production. they determine and chose the next brad pitt or angelina jolie. they are basically your staff. (:
the a-list is where every budding actor or actress wants to be at. with incredible wealth, you basically control hollywood. a-listers are invited to every party on the planet and have the advantage of being asked to play a move/television role by the executive producers. as well, you're constantly featured and talked about on the E.
film actors - 80 posts & worked on 5 movies ( major role for 3 ) & 2 a-lister interaction.
tv/film actors - 90 posts & worked on 2+ shows ( 1 as main cast ) & 2 movies ( both major roles ) & 2 a-listers interaction.
crew - 85 posts & worked on 2+ shows & 5 movies & 2 a-lister interaction.
the b-listers have made it, but have not quite made it to the top. sure, you may have a suitable salary, but you still fight to get that audition for the next big hit. you will most likely only appear at award ceremonies if your movie or television is show is nominated. don't worry, you're still invited to the after parties.
film actors - 50 posts & worked on 3 movies ( major role for 2 ) & an a-lister interaction.
tv/film actors - 60 posts & worked on 1 show ( as main cast ) & a movie ( major role ).
crew - 55 posts & worked on 1 show & 3 movies & an a-lister interaction.
although not having made a name yet, at least you've done more than a hollywood unknown. while you're still invited to parties and attend movie premiers, not all events are open to you. but that doesn't really stop you now does it? who knows, if you do something really scandalous, you might be lucky to have one sentence mentioning your name in the E.
film actors - 25 posts & worked on a movie in a major role.
tv/film actors - 30 posts & worked on a show as main cast.
crew - 30 posts & worked on a show & movie.
here is where everyone starts. sure, you may have appeared in one or two movies and shows, but you haven't acquired enough recognition for people to know your name. you need to work hard & keep dreaming because one day your name will be in the spotlights.
independent actors aren't interested in money or fame, and are happy doing whatever it is they love doing - which is acting or working behind the scenes. to them, it's all about taking your work seriously and working from the heart. these actors are the ones who want to be able to roam around without photos being taken of them. they appear mostly in independent films or have minor roles on tv & film.
