Keani adjusted the mint blazer over her body as she stood in the direct line of fire of the fan. Holding a clipboard with words scrawled all over an overused script, she looked strictly professional, yet the soft colors of her attire and the glow of her skin conveyed something different: Keani Beldivere was enjoying herself. With the changes that had been made to the script and the way the cast had been acting on the set, all she could do was smile at herself before she went to bed every night. On top of that, she and Blake were doing alright. They weren't at the best point in their relationships, but those moments when they brought their bond back to the college days were becoming more frequent. It seemed like they could sit together in silence and suddenly feel like they were in his classroom again, sifting through papers and critiquing essays over a cup of coffee -- student to professor, professor to student. Those moments gave her a pang of nostalgia, but they made her happy at the end of the day. She was going to get him back as her friend and mentor.
"Keani, are you alright?" the lights director, Andy, asked her he shifted a piece of equipment to the back. "Oh, sure, Mr. Stanley -- Andy." She put a finger on her cheek. "I always forget to call you that," she laughed. Keani had a habit of being a little too formal for others. Even at her young age, many people saw Keani as an older person, so her formal titles for others made the recipients feel elderly. Andy smiled at her and disappeared into the back to put heavy machinery away. Keani finally stepped away from the fan, feeling chilly at this point instead of comfortable. She cleared her throat as she walked back onto the indoor set of the safe being robbed. Being in Chantilly was a great choice; they had a small-town setting where they could hang out after filming, of course, but the people also made the experience so great. They were hospitable and very open to the idea of this high-budget film being shot there.
"Anyone seen Blake?" Keani asked as she looked around in the bustle. "Left," a voice directed. Keani looked to her left and saw the man sitting in a seat, looking through his own clipped copy of the script. "Well, this part has no dialogue," she smiled at him as she took a seat in the empty chair beside him. "Have you been enjoying yourself?"
