RULES GENERAL oo1. Be respectful of your peers and the administrators. In order to earn respect, you must give it. Treat others as you wish to be treated, and try to solve personal issues off the site and out of the IC box. If you wish to bring your concerns to the admins, please PM their respective accounts (NOT ‘The Insider’) or submit anonymously to the formspring account. oo2. No stealing anything! that includes graphics made by us & other members on the site, site concept, characters that aren't yours, etc. Stealing will not be tolerated and will result in immediate disciplinary action. oo3. You can use whatever username you want to log in, but your display name has to be set at FIRST MIDDLE LAST, all in UPPERCASE after your application has been accepted otherwise we will change it without notice. oo4. The admins will be implementing a 3 strikes policy when taking disciplinary action. Should a member be in violation of any of the site rules, s/he will receive a warning from the staff. Should the ‘behavior’ persist and depending on the severity, the member will either be put on probation (limited site access) or suspended (temporary ban). If the issues continue after the second strike, members will be recommended for a PERMANENT IP ban. CHARACTER CREATION oo5. As this is a Hollywood RPG, characters are expected to be mature enough to venture into the industry independently. Minimum age is 19. We highly encourage characters in their late 20s, 30s, 40s+. Give yourself variety! oo6. Keep the female/male ratio reasonable! For every two girls you make, your next character must be a male. oo7. ∗∗∗ This rule will help some of us with character-making addictions. You get two character freebies! After making a second character, you must have posted up to 15 posts on each account before you make a third. This allows us to keep track of activity to ensure that all accounts and characters are being used regularly. After making your third character, in order to create a fourth (or more) you'll need to have 20 posts with each of your previous accounts. oo8. The choice of play-bys are important. This is a celebrity/Hollywood site so you should use celebrities or models. That means no myspace/emos/scenesters/anime/cartoons. If you're having trouble coming up with a play-by, we suggest you look at the play-by suggestion directory. There are plenty to choose from! oo9. First come first served (unless stated). The admins will not be held responsible for any play-bys or tv/movie roles you may have wanted if you didn’t submit your claim in a timely manner. Be sure to stake your claims as soon as possible! Also your character's age must be within ten years of their playby's real age. o10. You can only claim a play-by in the face claim when your application has been accepted. That said, FOLLOW THE FACE CLAIM RULES! o11. Follow the application, and make sure there's no perfect characters. Be creative when listing strengths and weaknesses. Make sure your characters are original. Do not take characters from movies/tv shows/books. Admins will ask you to revisit your application if they feel your character needs more work. POSTING o12. This is a 300 word count site. Keep up or you'll be warned. Also, no aggressive/passive-aggressive approach to pressuring the other role-player in replying with 47389274 words or replying at all. If they don't reply in a very long time, give them a friendly heads up - they probably forgot. o13. No god-modding! Unless you've discussed it with the other person, try not to control the other character. Example: BAD "Jane glared at John with intense anger, and she walked up to him, punched him in the face and scoffed when he fell to the ground." GOOD "Jane glared at John with intense anger, and she walked up to him, aiming her fist at his face to punch him right in the face." Etc. o14. Per the Proboards Terms of Service, this site is rated PG13. THE OOC & IC CBOXES o15. Both the ic and ooc cboxes need to be used with responsibility. No spamming and/or advertising! And unless in character, no excessive swearing, no bitching, & of course, have respect. Please also welcome new people and guests in the ooc cbox. o16. o17. Try to avoid rping in the ic box. It follows more of a chatroom style anyway. If you want to mini rp, the mini thread board is there for your convenience where you can one line there to your heart's content and not feel judged. GRAPHICS o18. Graphics are to be kept at a reasonable size that will not stretch the page. The maximum width for sigs is 500px. o19. The maximum size for avatars is 150x250. Resize the actual picture itself. You can do so by searching up "image resizer" on Google. o20. Please keep your graphics tasteful. Absolutely no nudity or vulgarity in your graphics. Admins reserve the right to remove any graphics that violate these rules. |
