As they continued to just stand in the kitchen, he ran his hands through her hair gently, starting at her forehead and down her skull and back. She was gorgeous, there was no question why he fell for her back when he never felt anything for people. He wished he'd known things would be so complicated now, maybe he would have made better decisions. No, he wouldn't have. He would have been just as head over heels for her then. He sighed gently, just holding her, knowing how much it was probably pissing her off. Actually, now that he thought about it, he didn't want her like this all the time. He wanted some sort of medium between how she was and whatever this was right now. When she asked, he struggled internally for a while. Lie? Be honest? Lie. "No one important.. a costume chick." For once, believe it or not, it actually wasn't pissing her off. She was enjoying it. For Tristan's sake. She knew how much he enjoyed it and how much she hated it didn't really matter right now at all. When she heard his reply, her gaze met his and she made sure he didn't spot the anger in her face. He'd always been somewhat bad at reading people, particularly people he was close to, but he was somehow pretty good at figuring out what was going on inside Paige's head. Well, sometimes. When he said he needed that, she smirked to herself and hearing him mention that she needed it as well, she ended up laughing. Paige didnt say a word as she continued to look at him with a suspicious look as if to show that she was testing him. When he started to speak, she nodded with a smirk still on her face as he continued. Tristan eventually moved himself forward and kissed her. Paige didn't really hold herself back. In fact, she actually started to remove his shirt and you pretty much know how that ended up. The funny thing about that was that it had been a while since they've actually had sex. They were too grumpy to ever get to it and even when they did, it wouldn't be as exciting as it was before when she pushed him away, trying hard not to get into him too much because he was not her type or social class at all. It felt just as amazing this time, though. "I hate you" Paige hissed, still a little out of breath after the deed was done and rolled away from him, sitting up. Cuddling wasn't an option.

Tristan had never been opposed to having sex, particularly with Paige. He'd always encouraged it, even when they weren't together. He knew she was weak for him, considering she gave in almost every time, but the same could be said about him. After they'd had sex for what felt like the first time in years, he watched her sit up and roll away. Tristan was generally a cuddler afterwards, or when he was sleepy. He followed her, wrapping an arm around her shoulders as he moved her hair to kiss her neck. "Don't be grumpy just cause we fucked," he reminded her, pulling her back against him a little.

She knew he was big on cuddling. Even when they first met, she was the one that always got herself out of bed as quickly as possible way before he even thought about moving. Today wasn't any different, she was trying to get away sooner than later, but she was too late as she felt his arm around her shoulders. "Noooo, get off of me!" She struggled against him whe he kissed her neck. It wasn't long before she was being pulled against his neck. "I still hate you" Paige kept her back against him, closing her eyes as she leaned against him. She did feel much better. Not the cuddling part, but the sex part. Why wouldn't she? She was a sucker for doing the dirty as much as possible. With a fiance like Tristan, who wouldn't be?

When she resisted, Tristan felt himself getting frustrated. Well, he really should have seen that coming. When he tried to make her cuddle she always slipped into a bad mood. As soon as she started whining about it he let go, not wanting to further anger her. He knew he shouldn't push her buttons right now, and apparently just trying to have a little non-sexual intimacy with her was button-pushing worthy. He realized that letting go really wasn't like him, but he also noticed he was completely sober. That would have something to do with it. And now that he'd planted the idea in his head, it wouldn't leave him alone. He needed something.. anything with alcohol in it. He pressed both palms to his forehead, putting pressure on his temples. He gave a sigh and sat up, looking over at her, both of them still completely naked. Could they make this work? He didn't know. He honestly did not know at all. He stood up and found his boxers, raised them to his hips, then walked downstairs to the kitchen where he found a bottle of vodka. That was definitely happening. He unscrewed the cap and took a healthy swig. It kind of felt like how he imagined swallowing gasoline would feel, but the buzz was nice.

Paige knew that if he were to pull him closer she would only struggle as a joke, but even then she would give into him. She was in such a good mood that a little cuddling probably wouldn't hurt right now at all. So she just kinda shut up for now. When she felt his arms leave her body, she rolled over and looked up at him. Oh no. That was the 'This bitch is giving me a headache' kind of rub on his forehead. She continued to lie there on the bed, but she realized a little too late why he'd be in the kitchen right now. Shit, shit, shit. Why did she keep alcohol in the house? Oh right, for her. Ugh! This was so bad for him. Paige hopped out of bed, quickly slipping on his t-shirt and rushed to the kitchen, snatching his bottle as soon as she reached him.

Tristan was leaning against the counter, somehow enjoying drinking the liquid that seemed like it might burn a hole through his throat. A lot of people asked why alcoholics did it, and Tristan was typical in answering that he didn't know. He did it because, well, he felt like he needed it. He didn't know why he did it before he was hooked, but he was genetically set up to be an alcoholic. His mother was, his father was, and probably a whole slew of grandparents and distant relatives. When Paige basically sprinted down and snatched the now half-empty bottle of vodka from his grasp, he instantly whined like a puppy, and went after her to snake both arms around her torso. He needed that shit back.. just, how to get it? Well, gotta start somewhere, Silvers. "It's just one drink," he pleaded at her. He'd admitted his problem with alcohol before, and told her he'd stop several times. He actually did there for almost a year, but he was falling back on old habits. He looked down at her with a, 'one drink won't hurt anything' look on his face.

Any other day, he would’ve been really pissed that she would do something like while he was enjoying his alcohol, but he didn’t. In fact, he started pouting. Paige never was the one to cuddle or give in to any of that whining and pouting. In fact, she found it pretty damn annoying if it were anyone else, but when Tristan did it, it was sometimes just adorable. That would explain why he gave in to him when he wanted to cuddle, but it sadly wasn’t before she gave him a migraine. ”Tristan…” She was in no mood to yell at him, because of how clingy he was being. If she yelled, he’d get sick of her and just leave and she’d never know what he’d even come back. She set the bottle down on the counter and stepped in front of it before wrapping her arms around his neck, ”What have I told you about drinking?”

The rational side of him knew she was only trying to take care of him, especially since he'd asked her to help him get over his addiction. He really didn't want to go to rehab, but his rational side was definitely slipping away. The closer he got to sobriety the farther away realty became. When she said his name, kind of like she was scolding a four year old, he just gave her an innocent smile. When she wrapped her arms around his neck, he knew where she'd sat the bottle. He wrapped both arms around her, lifting up his own t-shirt to expose some of her skin to him. One hand was in the small of her back, the other rested on her ass. He leaned in to give her a kiss, nothing cuddly, something more along the lines of sexual despite what they'd just done. "That.." he said, and put on a contemplative face. He brought his hand up her backside and snagged the neck of the vodka bottle in the process. "Drinking in moderation is fine," he said quickly and pulled away, then dumped some more of it down his throat. He tried his best at an innocent smile.

It actually wasn’t about rehab for Paige. It was more the image of seeing him practically lifeless in the hospital for weeks. She wasn’t about to go through that again. He drank too much and she wasn’t sure how she’d be able to handle it all if he were to end up back in the hospital for the same problem; or worse. She looked up into his eyes when he gave her that adorable innocent look. He was probably finding out she was a little weak to that look. Or maybe she was just weak for him today. She gulped very lightly, feeling his hands on her butt and the lower back. She kissed him back, knowing she should be furious and pushing him away right now. When he pulled away, her lips sort of refused to leave his skin as she pecked his jawline, working her lips gently down his throat. It’s when she felt him gulp and looked up only to see him drinking again. ”Drinking at all is dangerous for you,” She hissed, looking away from his innocently smiling face before she snatched the bottle back, trying to avoid the fact that she just fell for whatever the hell he was trying to do.

Tristan knew he shouldn't drink, but the coma just didn't scare him. He wasn't there watching it happen, and honestly, experiencing it wasn't too bad. He didn't have to deal with the rest of the world closing in on him. He knew he was taking this a little far trying to feed his addiction, but it wasn't like he could control it. Just like long-term smokers couldn't control their cravings for nicotine, he couldn't control his for alcohol. He was more than aware it was awful that he was only twenty-six and he already had this issue whereas most people didn't encounter a problem until they reached into their thirties or forties. Regardless, he was saddled with it.. and a frustrated fiancee. He watched her snatch it from him again, and he realized how far he was pushing it. He rubbed his hands over his face again. "I know," he said quietly. Tristan balled his hands into fists, took the bottle from her, and set it beside the sink. He had a really hard time walking away from it, and that much was obvious, but in the end he won. He went back over to her and pulled her into a hug to distract himself. "I'm sorry."

When she took the bottle back from him, Paige’s eyes widened. How dare he? Turning herself to watch him, she crossed his arms until she was back in his arms. Uncrossing her arms, Paige brought her arms around his torso and rested them on his shoulders, a tear rolling down her cheek, but she quickly wiped it away before Tristan could see it. For Paige, it was absolutely horrible, especially since she was so close to him now. Looking back, she couldn’t even decide how she would’ve dealt with all of it if it were to happen to him now. Just the thought of it all had her clinging on to him right now like a little girl. Her life wouldn’t have much of a purpose if something even worse were to happen to Tristan because of his drinking. She wasn’t around in much because she was always working so she couldn’t really keep an eye on him all the time; she would just have to deal with it. Just like he’d have to deal with her nagging, which she really was trying to stop. ”Just…come back to bed.”
