personality evaluated.
PATIENT;;
A lot of Mitch’s personality traits have developed from being a sniper in the military. The skill had a lot of requirements that Mitch had to work extremely hard to reach. Mitch would sometimes have to lie in the same spot for days just so he could observe his target before taking the shot. This called for a ton of patience that at first, Mitch had none of. But after a long period of training, he’s developed a sense of patience which carries over to his real life. Mitch doesn’t like to rush things and is completely okay with taking things slow and thinking them through. He’s found it a lot more successful than just jumping blind into something. Mitch knows from experience that patience is a virtue and without it, bad things are bound to happen that you’ll regret. And when it comes to his emotions, Mitch is very level-headed. He doesn’t let things get to him and it takes a lot to get him angry.
PRUDENT;;
Even though at times it may seem like Mitch’s guard isn’t always up, it really is up 24/7. Mitch doesn’t trust easily and is very cautious around people. He doesn’t make this obvious, but in his mind he’s watching and analyzing your every move. If he sees something suspicious, he’s quick to recognize it and take action. His eyes and ears are always open to his surroundings. It’s something he’s picked up while in the military and it was a crucial part of being a sniper. Mitch had to be aware of everything around him and when watching his target, he had to be careful to not give away his position. These instincts have carried over into this real world. So if you try and pull a fast one on Mitch, you’ll be pinned down faster than you can spit. In the real world this trait tends to get him into some sticky situations. He’ll often mistake something completely innocent for something he deemed suspicious and that usually ends with an awkward apology.
SERIOUS;;
There’s a time for jokes and there’s a time for seriousness and Mitch is very aware of this. For the most part, Mitch is a pretty serious person. He’s not the kind of guy who’ll crack jokes at random or go out of his way to make people laugh. There are many things that he takes seriously and you probably won’t see Mitch goofing off often. He wasn’t always like that, but since he got back from the war, he takes things a little more critically now. That’s not to say he won’t crack a joke every now and then, or has no sense of humor whatsoever. But it was just the way he was trained and there wasn’t much room for joking around in the military, at least not in his line of duty, Mitch learned that fairly quickly.
FRIENDLY;;
For the most part, Mitch is a pretty friendly guy. He tries his best not to judge, or put people down. He’s learned to treat people with respect and so he is very pleasant to those he considers being his friends. Despite the fact that he has a bit of a trust issue, he’s still pretty comfortable with starting up a conversation with random people just to be nice and sociable. And if you need a favor, Mitch is the one to go to. He’ll do just about anything for his friends and enjoys doing things for others. Granted, he’s definitely know pushover and doesn’t tolerate when people use him. He’s pretty good at telling the difference between people who simply need a favor every now and then and people who are out to take advantage of his friendliness and willingness to do things for others. Let’s just say that he keeps tabs on how many favors he does for certain people. If it exceeds a certain number over a certain time, he’ll likely reject you and tell you to get someone else to serve the favor.
AFFECTIONATE;;
When it comes to relationships, Mitch puts his whole heart and soul into them. It usually takes him a while to get to know someone to the point that he’s fully comfortable with them, but once he gets to that point, he’s all yours. He loves love and although he doesn’t announce this to the public, he’s a hopeless romantic at heart. Mitch is very much into the simple things. He doesn’t believe in expensive gifts in order to show his affection for someone. A single rose on Valentine’s Day and a home made meal is much more suitable in Mitch’s eyes and definitely something he would do. And when it comes to the physical aspect of a relationship, Mitch believes that sex should only be shared with someone who you can see yourself being with for more than just a week or a month. It’s an intimacy that Mitch takes seriously.
SARCASTIC;;
Being stranded out in the desert for a year has really changed his sense of humor. Mitch used to be pretty laid back when it came to comedy and what he deemed to be funny or not. He would pretty much laugh at just about anything back then. Laughter was an important part in his life and when you saw Mitch out and about he was almost always smiling or laughing at something or with someone. Unfortunately, he’s changed just a bit. After he got back, he’s struggled to find humor in the world. Witnessing what he had back there really changed his perspective of things and nowadays his humor is very dry and sarcastic. This puts people off sometimes, and makes it seem like he’s a mean person. But really he isn’t, he just doesn’t find a lot of things funny anymore. You can tell that he tries to laugh, just for the sake of keeping from making people uncomfortable around him. Luckily, he’s very close friends are fortunate to see Mitch smile and laugh a little more often, considering he’s more comfortable with his friends. But for the most part, he’s quite sarcastic.
INTELIGENT;;
While his specialty is in physics and science, Mitch is a very intelligent individual. He went to college majoring in physics in order to further grasp the intricacies of being a sniper. He’s been told all his life how physics and science was a huge part in sharp shooting, so Mitch, being the determined person he is learned as much as he could about physics and the technicalities of shooting a sniper rifle. He’s definitely not one of those guys who will talk to you for hours about physics or the various factors that can affect the trajectory of a crucial shot or anything like that. He’s not that old people, he knows it’ll only bore people to death. Unless asked to explain or talk about his previous job, Mitch doesn’t mention it.

history evaluated.
Mitchell Alexandre Cruz was born to Colton and Michelle Cruz on April 15th, 1974 in Boston, Massechusetts. He was the first born child of two. His birth was a huge celebration to a couple who was hoping to have two boys, half of their goal being met, Colton wasted no time in getting Mitch interested in the Army. Two years after Mitch was born, his brother Jaden came into the picture. Growing up, Jaden tended to stay out of the military subject and sort of did his own thing, much to their father's dismay. Mitch was to be the perfect reflection of his father and by the time he was 10, that was beginning to come true. It was at ten years old that Mitch found an interest in guns. His father had quite a large collection of guns and it was during this time of curiosity that Colton realized his son would grow into a fine young sharp shooter. With supervision of course, Mitch fired his first gun at age eleven and instantly fell in love with the feeling it gave him.
In high school, Mitch was known as the military buff. He could always be found working out in his spare time and doing school work. The boy was a bit of a nerd, though no one dared mess with him because of his family background. His dad was a general in the army, and even Mitch had the ability to really kick butt. But he was never much of a fighter. Mitch didn't start fights, but when others did he had no problem with finishing them. Mitch attended military school right out of high school, eventually getting into a prestigious sniper school. His love for guns didn't last long. Sure it never died, but while Mitch went through Military school and training, a friend of his got him into acting. Mitch was extremely supportive of his friend, always attending the productions he participated in and helping him out any way he could. This peaked Mitch’s interest and soon he was curious about acting. But he knew that if he strayed from his military work, his dad would not approve at all. So, Mitch began taking classes here and there in secret and even did a few productions with his friend. And then, his life changed for the better when that same friend introduced him to Rebecca Marie Hamilton. The clicked immediately, quickly becoming great friends. It was obvious from the beginning that they had potential to be much more, but Mitch liking to take things slow, he waited a year to ask her out officially.
They were together for two years and it’s safe to say those were the best two years of Mitch’s life. She was perfect for him and he felt extremely comfortable around her. In fact, things were so perfect that he had planned on proposing to her on their two year anniversary. Mitch had gone out and bought a beautifully ring and had it all planned out as far as how and where he was going to ask her. Unfortunately, Mitch ended up chickening out. He didn’t go through with it, but still kept the ring for safe keeping until that day came. The beginning of their third year together, Mitch told Rebecca that he was going to join the military. His sniper training was finished and he was determined to serve, if not for his country, but to make his father proud. She was upset, but he was grateful that she supported her decision 100%. So, that year Mitch was sent off to Afghanistan. Things were pretty low key for a while when he was there, Mitch just having to do some scouting work. He only had to complete a few hits, but other than that, things were going well. For three years, Mitch was in Afghanistan. On that fourth year, things went wrong. He was out on a mission, and being a sniper, Mitch was often behind the front lines and away from his fellow soldiers. All he had was his partner who served as his spotter, Drake. They spent a lot of time together; a sniper was nothing without his spotter after all. But one day, an ambush separated Mitch and Drake from the other soldiers.
Taken as captives, Mitch, who was suffering from a bullet wound, and Drake were dragged into an Afghani camp where they were kept in horrible conditions. Food and water was rarely given to them and physical abuse was a frequent occurrence. After a couple of months, Mitch and Drake planned out their escape. They waited until the dead of night to make their move. Things were going well until some glass from a broken beer bottle cracked beneath their feet. They had to run for it, and unfortunately Drake was recaptured. But Mitch kept running, he couldn’t stop and shortly he heard the gun shots. Drake’s body fell to the ground. To this day, Mitch blames himself for his friend’s death. He had kept running instead of turning around to help and those gun shots play over and over in his head every night. Mitch had managed to escape and was on his own in the desert for 10 months until a search party finally found him. Mitch was hospitalized for his injuries and discharged shortly afterward. Away from home for four years, Mitch was excited to get back to Rebecca and make an attempt at continuing his life with her even though his experiences had left him a slightly changed man. But when he arrived to his home, he found that it was no longer his and Rebecca was no where to be found. Baffled and hurt that she would up and leave without so much as a warning, Mitch found himself homeless.
Luckily, he’d been paid enough to get himself another home from the military. So at age 30, Mitch moved to L.A. and got himself a fairly nice house. It was just the right size for himself and the Alaskan Malamute he’d invested in to keep him company. Sasha was the only thing he had at the time, the only thing that helped him through those sleepless nights where those dreadful memories would flood his mind. He needed something else though, something was missing from his life and he needed a distraction. It was then that he got back into acting. It was always something he wanted to pursue, but Mitch had let his father’s opinion get in his way. Now that he was on his own and away from his father’s shadow, Mitch was able to successfully pursue an acting career. Mitch landed a few small roles in a couple of movies, movie productions being his primary focus, and made sure to keep himself busy with auditions and different roles. Throughout the years, Mitch began to learn more and more about what went on behind the scenes. He had an interest in directing and began to delve into that department for a little while. Now at age 36, Mitch is an aspiring director who will sometimes throw himself in a few small movie roles. But his primary focus is now directing as he attempts to piece his life back together from his experiences in Afghanistan to losing the love of his life.
