personality evaluated. cole is quite a character. he's still very immature, even though he's twenty-three. he still acts like he's eighteen, and sometimes even younger. he's very carefree and light-hearted, not much gets him upset or angry. he's difficult to piss off, because usually he can't take anything seriously. he likes to joke around just for the sake of keeping things light and bouncy. he is a huge goofball and will take anything literally just for a laugh. he likes to try new things and would probably be willing to try anything at least once, just because he's always curious. he likes talking and could probably talk your ear off, especially if it's on a subject he knows a lot about. he comes across as very simple and sometimes even stupid, but he's very bright, he just lacks common sense and often rushes into things. he's not the most logical being in the world and prefers to act on impulse most of the time.

he's extremely passionate about music and there's nothing he loves more than being in a band. he hates being alone and can often find himself getting attached to people and things more quickly than he likes. cole will do almost anything for a laugh. he's done a lot of dumb things just because he was dared to or thought someone would find it funny, and that sort of leads him to be a bit of an attention whore. he likes attention a lot, and can often be found pouting if he doesn't think he's getting enough of it. putting up with him is a full time job, since he's got a bit of uncontrolled ADHD. he changes topics rapidly and gets bored easily, which leads to a lot of his dumb stunts. he trusts people too easily as well, but he reminds himself to be detached enough to not get hurt all the time. he bounces back quickly from little things, but if it's a huge blow he never really recovers, like with what happened with his brother. he does hide his problems, and slaps on that irresistible smile of his and people generally believe it. he's a sweetheart when he wants to be, and can be a real asshole when he wants to be. it really just depends on his mood and how much he likes you.

• cole was originally born to a sixteen year old girl, the result of a rape. coincidentally, she couldn't keep him, so shortly after he was born he was taken to a church and given to the priest to find a better home. he's never met this girl and has no intentions of tracking her down. ever.
• he was placed into the stable home of jake and deborah, a loving couple who had been married for just over eight years and had been trying to have a child for about seven. because of trauma in her early life, deborah was unable to have children, so they went the adoption route and got cole (instead of a starving russian child) when he was still an infant to protect their white-catholic reputation.
• when cole turned two, they decided to adopt again. they ended up with an infant who wasn't awarded to either parent in an ugly custody battle. cole was never too fond of brother dan.
• when he entered grade school he was required to take a music class, where he learned how to play guitar. he picked it up too quickly to stop, and his music teacher urged his parents to get him lessons. they gladly obliged, happy that cole had finally found something he enjoyed.
• as he grew older, he started getting involved with the wrong crowd. in middle school, he became friends with the kids who sold and did drugs, so they eventually pulled him in. he became known as the stoner, and even into high school. his parents noticed and tried to set him straight, get him to church or a therapist, but he refused.
• in high school, his younger brother started hitting on him. cole thought nothing of it and just passed it off, but eventually i evolved into daniel taking sexual advantage of cole one night when he was drunk.
• after that, cole was convinced he was bisexual, because if not, why would that have happened? he withdrew from the family and tried to reach out for help from the abuse he was taking, but his parents didn't believe him. daniel was the football star in the family, the perfect one, so naturally no one was going to believe druggie cole.
• in an attempt to save himself from his brother, he moved all the way to california to attend UCLA, and while there he got a degree in music performance with emphasis on guitar and piano.
• when he turned twenty, he got hired to play guitar in the pit orchestra for live productions, which led him to get noticed by some important people who set him up to do soundtracks and background music for movies.
• when he was nineteen, he auditioned to be the bassist of a small-time band going big and got it, where he brings a lot to the table. aside from being a talented musician (doing bass and backup vocals), he has incredible stage presence stemming from his bubbly personality.
• their band was scouted to act in a small film as their own band, in which cole discovered he was alright at acting, at least when singing was involved. he auditioned for a couple musicals after that and got the role.
• when he turned twenty-one, his band broke up because they grew apart, and he immediately auditioned for an open bass position in a different band, which he joined.
• he spends most of his time playing live music, recording some for background music in films, and acting in small roles.
