Jack was sitting there, enjoying gazing at her while she was enjoying the movie that was playing in his flat screen TV on the wall of the large living room of his huge house. Jack Bailey was known to be the rich, womanizer boy there was no doubt about it. He was generous, but spoiled by his father's wealth nonetheless. Money was honestly the last thing he was thinking about, though. Right now, only think that was on his mind was his future with Katalina. Considering the drama and nonsense they went through to get here, they were actually going pretty strong. Jack? He was loving it. He was loving her--wait, no. No, no. It wasn't love. It never will be. But he did like her. A lot. It was still funny to think she hated his guts with a passion at one point.

if anyone asked her a year ago if she thought she would be dating jack bailey, kat would have laughed in their face. she'd hated him with a passion, and even sometimes that was an understatement. but over the past year or so kat had seen a side of jack bailey she didn't think existed. he was sweet, caring (albeit he could still be an asshole). he doted on her like she was a princess and she found herself falling for him--fast. kat wasn't the kind of girl to let her defenses down and risk it all on a boy (especially not a rich boy, a wealthy son of kings with no regard for the rest of humanity and a taste for womanizing while still in high school) but she couldn't help but feel...something. she didn't know exactly what she felt for jack, but she knew it was real and it was there. it wasn't going away and whatever it was, it was growing. kat was beginning to feel comfortable with it, to let other people know how she felt--and katalina stevenson letting her true feelings show was a rare occurrence indeed.

she watched the movie, content to sit on his couch and simply spend time with him. looking over, she realized he was just looking at her. kat smiled. "what?" she asked, wondering why he wasn't paying attention to the movie.

She was great. So it was true that he was only first attracted to her because she hated him and honestly, that always drew Jack in. He loved making girls who hated him fall for him. It happened all the time and he usually just laughed it off, not giving a second thought before bolting. Kat didn't need to know that part because this time it was different. This time, his intentions weren't the same. Sure, he wanted her to like him instead of hating him, but it wasn't for his guilty amusement this time. He snapped out of his thoughts when she spoke to him. Seeing that smile, Jack couldn't keep himself from smiling back and then he replied, "What, what?" Without awaiting a response, he leaned in and kissed her, picking up a popcorn from the bowl on her lap before looking towards the screen. "What I miss?" Jack asked with a smirk on his face.

kat didn't date. she was too closed off to let people in--even if it seemed like she was an open book. katalina had mastered that art. she was friendly, sweet, caring. but when it came to her personal business, her family life, her feelings--she kept them hidden. no one knew what (if anything) bothered kat in real time, and no one knew her family situation, other than the fact that she had a brother. people didn't take the time to care because she was content with focusing on other people's lives.

but jack. jack had forced her to feel. maybe not in the nicest way--he'd taunted her, teased her, made fun of her and ultimately shown her that she had feelings for him. and eventually she came to terms with this. it was an odd thing, expressing her feelings and sometimes kat wasn't sure how to convey her point. if she wanted to say that she missed jack, she couldn't just say it...there always had to be a fight. if she wanted him to come over, she had to admit that she wanted him there. but fighting with jack, feeling things for jack was the most real experience she'd had so far in her life.

he leaned in to kiss her and she smirked, almost disappointed that he pulled away. "i'm not sure," she said. "i haven't really been paying much attention either."

Her reply made him chuckle a little as he nodded to himself in a joking manner. His mind wasn't in the mind, that much was obvious. He didn't think it was the same deal with her too. Funny how that works out, though. Jack leaned back, able to recall her disappointed face when he pulled away from the kiss. This time, he didn't only kiss her, but rested his hand at her waist, pulling her closer. Almost against her will, he intensified the kiss, but he really doubted that she would mind. Before it got too far, however, Jack snapped out of it and it was him that pulled away before she could.

he was a bit aggressive sometimes--and though kat would never admit it because of delicate, ladylike sensibilities, she rather liked it on occasion. like right now--he kissed her, pulled her in close. kat went along with it, knowing that he would make fun of her for liking it whether or not she pulled away first--

and jack pulled away first. not surprising, either. it was becoming easier to predict jack bailey's actions because they were so unpredictable. whatever kat thought he wasn't going to do next, he did. she was beginning to know him like the back of her own hand and as much as it scared her, she was happy. she was happy with him.

resting her head on jack's shoulder, kat smiled and kissed his neck softly. "i guess there's really no point of having a movie on if neither of us are watching it," she pointed out.

It was safe to say he was pissed at himself for pulling away. he didn't know what it was. He did know that if he got carried away, it would hurt her because he wouldn't be able to stop. He was no better than a hungry vampire, craving blood. He had to have his sex to practically stay alive. And it wasn't fair for Kat. Could he quit the habit for her? Gee, I don't know. Could a vampire just stop feeding? Inappropriate, but relevant analogy, I know. I know. Jack picked up the remote and shut off the television, getting to his feet right after she kissed him on the neck. Nope, couldn't do it. Maybe he was a little better than a bloodsucker after all. Plus, he lo--loved being around her. Didn't want to ruin it by giving in to his sexual needs at all.
