an exhausted natalie lay fast asleep on her bed in the house she shared with her sister. and where was she exactly? london. the thirty one year old a-list actress was going to be spending the next few months away from her home in new york city to film... x-men. it actually didn't bother her that she wasn't home. she'd spent a few years living in england in the past so it felt like a second home. she had friends here too, and she was being paid to be here. this was actually rather exciting, being a part of a great cast in a film she loved watching - well the past three films anyway, including hugh jackman's wolverine. tomorrow was going to be the second or third day of filming, and she was looking forward to it. she just hoped she'd be energized enough in the morning to tackle the long day ahead.

Nina Clarke, the A-list actress that he was a manager for, was just fine without him. She was doing great; one client that knew what she was doing without having to depend on her manager for everything. He admired her. Mainly because of the fact that he could take a vacation whenever he wanted. A couple days ago, he let his best friend know he'd visit her in London. He'd never been so he spend the day exploring and by the time he was completely beat, he managed to find himself in front of her house--well, her sister's house--by the middle of the night. He knew no one was awake, so calling her was out of the option. Remembering she said something about where the spare key always is, Michael managed to make his way into the house without a single peep. It'd been the first time he'd ever been to this place, so it took him a while to do the whole self-tour thing before he found Natalie's bedroom. As quietly as possible, the man loosened his tie and set down his bags on the other side of the bed before gently laying down on the other side. Within minutes after a big yawn, he was checked out.

natalie had basically set her alarm to the early hours of the morning. perhaps about five because she could allow herself time to wake up then go out for a jog in between five thirty and six. then by six thirty she'd be back at home getting ready for work. there were days when natalie woke up a few minutes earlier than the time she set her alarm to. today was one of those days. slowly, she opened her eyes feeling an odd presence in the room - a sort of presence you usually felt when you think someone else is in the room - which was weird because she was alone in the house. ignoring it for a few seconds, she turned her body around as a habit, but when she flung her arm around, she hit the torso belonging to another body and freaked. letting out a gasp, she jumped and suddenly found herself falling off the side of her bed, hard. what was funny was that her small body wasn't enough to cause a thud on the floor, but enough to hurt her lower half. she briefly peered over the edge to inspect the body that lay sound asleep on the other side before quickly getting on her feet. she picked up her pillow and without a second wait, hit him over the head with as much force as she could muster.

michael had always been a light sleeper, so the deep sleep he had for only a few hours was sort of gone as soon as he heard the gasp. before he could even open his eyes, though, he heard a thud. It was that second when he opened his eyes. It took him a couple seconds too late to realize where he was. Before he could even adjust to any of it and wrap his sleepy head around it, he was smacked upside the head with something soft, but forcefully. "What on..." Looking up, he saw Natalie on her feet just next to the bed. He smiled to himself and just rubbed his eyes, yawning a little before propping up his weight on one elbow. "What's wrong with you? Look like you've seen a ghost." He chuckled. He wasn't dumb, he instantly figured he probably startled the living crap out of her. He should've thought about that.

when the man looked up, natalie swore she almost fainted. whether it was a good faint or a bad faint... well it was both. it was great because it was her best friend mike and not some random stranger, but it was bad because she literally thought she had a heart attack. he had every nerve to scare her like that, and if she thought that him hiding in a closet was scary, well then imagine waking up in bed with the person beside you. her heart was pounding at about a thousand beats per second, but it was slowing down now that he started to chuckle at her. "because i thought you were some stranger who broke into my house!" she said in a raised voice. with that, she hit him once more with the pillow that was still in her hands. actually she hit him twice.

He sat up when he could tell she probably wanted to beat the crap out of him right now. He slid towards the edge of the bed, closer to where she stood and just took the other hit from her. And another, "Haha, Would you quit it!" He took the pillow from her, tossing it gently behind him and pulled her into a hug. "To be honest with you, Nat. If I were some stranger, the last thing I'd do is come in and fall asleep beside you." He chuckled again, pulling away from the hug and stood up. "It's good to see you, though." He managed his greeting finally in a cheery tone and a smile on his face. It was still dark, so he didn't think she really saw it. "Nice PJ's," Mike snickered.

naturally, it wasn't hard for natalie to stay mad at people, well most people anyway. Her thousand beats per second heartbeat then returned to normal when mike moved closer and hugged her. "if you were some stranger you'd be dead by now." she laughed and looked down at him. when he pulled away, she stood back, allowing him room to get on his own two feet. 'oh shut up." slightly embarrassed, she lightly shoved him before engulfing him with a proper hug before pulling away. it would have been funnier if she was wearing something more revealing than regular long-pant pyjamas, but luckily for natalie, she decided to sleep in something less "sexy" last night or else she would have been mortified right now. "how long are you here for?" she asked.

Now Michael knew she would be upset, but she wasn't mad. They were close friends enough to there to be no reason for her to hold a grudge over him, right? Plus, this was a small thing. It would make sense if he did something completely assholish. Hasn't happened so far, though. "Oh...yeah, Natalie. I would've been in real danger, you were armed and everything with your...pillow." He looked down at her outfit once again. Now he'd hate to say it, but even though she was a gorgeous girl, Mike had seen as her worst. And it's been worse, so he didn't think she looked half back. Kinda cute, if you could ask him. He gave her another hug, this time he held that one. Once he pulled away, he flicked the lights on, only then realizing it was a bad idea. He was still pretty sleepy. "However long you want me here for." He said to her with a shrug. He looked at the digital clock beside her bed, "Do you always get up this early?"

it was exciting to have her best friend here, all the way in london with her. and he came all the way for her. well apparently he did as they were talking about it a few days ago. maybe he was here just to holiday and couldn't be bothered to pay for accommodation. natalie pretty much got the impression that he was here to visit her, and for that she was grateful. once the lights turned on she frantically blinked at the sudden flood of light, but stopped when her eyes became used to it. when she could see clearly she laughed at the sight before her. although as cute as he looked right now, mike at five am was a sight to laugh at. "has anyone told you that you look stunning?" she teased. "i'm sorry, i love you!" she hoped her teasing wouldn't discourage him from staying as long as she wanted him to. "stay for as long as i'm here for!" she said. when the sound of her alarm went off, she pressed the sleep button to stop the noise. "i always do." she smiled, "do you want to come jogging with me?"

It shouldn't be shocking that he came all the way over here for her. Working for Nina Clarke garenteed him a decent salary. More than enough to make a round trip to London to see his best friend and it was surely worth it, too. Not like he had money problem anyway. after about thirty seconds of keeping his eyes squinted, he rubbed them and then looked at her. mike wondered at first what she was laughing at and then gave her a shifty-eyed look. the teasing, though, wasn't nearly close to him being discouraged from staying with her here. He wanted to. "Oh, not nearly as stunning as you, PJ." And she couldn't stop him; unless she flat out told him to leave. He looked down at the clock that was now buzzing, "You woke up before you were supposed to? What, was I snoring too loud or something?" He asked with a smirk on his face, sitting down after her next question. He loved jogging with her. They did it all the time. He'd love to do it again, "Does it look like I have the strength to come jogging with you?"

she didn't get a reply to her wanting him to stay for as long as she would be. she actually didn't mind if he only wanted to stay for a few weeks or even one, she was just happy to see him at all. reminder, she was filming a pretty big deal movie so she was going to be in london for a while. "you realise i'm going to be here for three months, give or take, right? if nina needs you, i'll be fine by myself here." not that she wanted to get rid of him, but she was thinking about the fact that she'd be too busy to spend time together with him, unless he was willing to hang around on set. if that was even allowed, but with natalie's status, she was sure the producers wouldn't mind. all that mattered was that he would be here, and he was. "You woke up before you were supposed to? What, was I snoring too loud or something?" natalie didn't bother saying anything to that, except she rolled her eyes. "to be honest, you look like frankenstein... with a hangover," she shrugged and faked a nonchalant look on her face, "so i'm not forcing anything on you." but she knew very well that he was always up for a jog.

He knew that she was concerned when he gave her his answer. He had no intention of being there for three months—give or take—so that was probably not even an option. But he would stay for as long as he knew. As far as he could tell, though, this was meant to be a nice vacation. She wanted him to visit and he did. ”I know you’ll be fine, but why are you trying to get rid of me?” He crossed his arms and just listened to her next comment, his feet swiftly moving towards the mirror. ”Shut it, I look just fine…and Really. I don’t mind.” He picked up a hoodie that he set aside before he fell asleep and slipped it on. ”Let’s go.”

"well because you suck." she joked, walking over to her closet and grabbing her running attire. she then laughed as she heard him assuring her that he was going to be fine. "are you sure? i might be too fast for you." grabbing her sweatpants and a hoodie, she threw them on her bed and went over to her drawers to get a sports bra, but as she was about to pull a drawer out she stopped and turned her head around to face mike with a smile, "could you wait outside...?" she asked. "you can poke around the house if you want."

Hearing the response, he nodded sarcastically as if he was actually heard by the comment, but it was obvious that he was just messing with her. ”too fast for me? I’m pretty sure it’s the other way around.” He rolled his eyes that time and just watched as she walked across the room over to the dresser. Listening to her request, he uncrossed his arms and just chuckled, making his way over to her, ”Oh c’mon, there’s nothing behind there that I haven’t seen before,” Mike said, pointing towards her shirt. Of course it was a joke. He’d only seen her change once and it was from behind and he doubted she ever knew. It was a mistake he ever did.

Oh she wasn't so sure about what he was saying. Sure he was muscular, tall and fit, but Natalie had been keeping herself fit for quite a while now. It all started because of Six Lives, and she just sort of kept her fitness up and yes, before any comments on her very petite figure could be made, she didn't make herself look like that on purpose as she was naturally that tiny. "We'll see about that," she simply replied with a smirk on her face. Rolling her eyes, she let go of the draw to turn around with a stern look. "No you haven't," she let out a small laugh, "now out." Using two arms she attempted to push him out the door herself.
