karsyn is a very gentle and happy spirited girl from ontario, california. she isn’t the type to try and be the center of attention when she walks in the room, she would much rather be the one in the background and observe people. karsyn is very shy and she has been known at times to play the “i don’t english” just so she can leave an embarrassing moment or uncomfortable scene. truth is, she knows english very well, she grew up in the states after her family died in a house fire. when she isn’t worried about work or anything, you can usually find her working out or playing music at a park or something. she enjoys music and dancing just as much as she loves martial arts. karsyn isn’t really your typical girl, she likes having her “girl-time” but when it comes to other things, like shopping, it’s like pulling teeth with her. when it comes to clothes, she likes to be comfortable, so jeans, a t-shirt and tennis shoes are her favorite outfit. anything that she has remotely stylish or girlish, her aunt more than likely bought it. talk about being in your element, when she is in a environment where she gets to use her skills, she feels at home. but this doesn’t make her run around yelling she’s a ninja or make her want to beat up everyone in sight. only when its necessary or needed as an outlet to work off some steam will she use it. karsyn isn’t conceited or anything, she personally doesn’t do well when it comes to compliments. though she doesn’t go around sulking and complaining, “oh, i’m just so ugly” – she would much rather focus on someone else’s beauty or something else.

in her early teenage years, she dealt with bulimia. karsyn had a huge problem in wanting to control everything and when she couldn’t control it – she turned to the one thing she did have control over, food. it lasted for a full three years before her aunt and uncle sent her away to get help. she spent almost a year trying to get back to her old self and she is happy to say that she isn’t bulimic anymore. karsyn has had a relapse from time to time but it hasn’t drawn her back in. she can honestly say that now, the only thing she ever does that’s bad is binge. she will eat something and then not eat for a few days, but that only happens when she is in a foul mood or if she feels she can’t handle something. the only person who knows about this, would be her cousin who tries to help her as much as he can without bringing attention to his parents.

when it comes to relationships, she is use to them but she hasn’t had a boyfriend in years because she’s been too focused on her career and her life to take on that responsibility. plus her last one wasn’t one that needed her time, he was abusive mentally and physically. he was also the reason that she had went through her bulimia stage in her life. one night stands are something that she does not do, at all. she isn’t a virgin but she won’t sleep with a guy unless she is in a relationship with them. sure people make mistakes and she has had one night stands but tries her hardest to not let it happen because she is tired of doing the walk of shame in the morning. rarely does she ever get mad at someone and if she does, it’s like seeing a side of her that you do not want to see. she gets all red in the face and starts screaming at the top of her lungs. one way to get her that upset is by bringing up her eating problems, is she tells you in confidence she sees you as a true friend. but then if you throw it back in her face then that’s when you see the karsyn you wish never existed. if she doesn’t like something you said or did, she’d tell you without yelling it. she feels that things like that can be discussed in a adult way. most people probably wouldn’t agree with her, but that’s life. karsyn understands that life is way too short to be bitching about any and every little small thing.

• born april seventh to khoa and min yoo in a small apartment in seoul, south korea. she was the last child to the family seeing as they already had a son and also because they’re lives were short lived after the birth of karsyn.
  
  
• her life with her biological family was short lived because when she was about three or four, her family died in a house fire while she was out at a birthday party with her aunt. her aunt and uncle took her in because they felt they owed it to her parents to keep her within the family.
  
  
• when she was around the age of twelve her aunt and uncle decided to move to america to help pursue his career in the entertainment industry. her uncle was a martial arts instructor and owned a business that trained professional fighters as well as helped her dad create fight scenes for movies.
  
  
• it was hard for her at first to adjust to the american culture, sure it wasn’t her first time being there but this was her first time actually living there and going to school there. when she turned fifteen, she along with her cousin joined her uncle’s business as instructors.
  
  
• when she wasn’t working with her uncle and cousin, she could often be found at a local dance studio or in her room practicing her music. karsyn had a love for the all the performing arts, especially when it came to acting.
  
  
• when she was sixteen, she had her first relationship, which turned out to be the worst relationship she ever had. it was so bad that it caused her to have eating problems as a way to punish herself for being so dumb and naïve.
  
  
• at seventeen she got a break when she was casted in a martial arts film as the lead role. of course it was one of the movies that got sent straight to dvd but to her it didn’t matter. she was now on the same track as her mother was so long ago and it pleased her to no end.
  
  
• for the past few years she has been doing martial art films because so far that is all the roles that seem to be working for her. there hasn’t been any movies lately that require an asian woman to play a normal role. not that she minds playing the girl who can kick ass, that’s always fun to do.
  
  
• she decided that she would take a break from the acting and focus on music and of course, helping her uncle out at his business since he is getting older.
  
  
• she hasn’t given up on acting and from time to time you will see her on set of some movie being a stunt double for someone or helping her cousin, julian, out with his job as a fight choreographer. karsyn hopes to one day rejoin the world of acting and become the woman her parents would have loved to see.
