lucie is kind of all over the place. she's loud and opinionated and always looking for a good time. nothing keeps her interest for very long and she tends to get bored easily. she keeps other people guessing and on their toes, and you can never quite tell just what lucie is going to do next. she never really has a plan for anything, and she usually plays everything by ear. lucie is known to come up with a lot of crazy ideas and schemes and this is rather intimidating to most people she meets. but hey, what's the fun in life if you don't try something new every now and again? all things considered, "all over the place" is a fitting description.

lucie tends to be really dedicated to the things she loves, but tends to be mercurial and wishy-washy when it comes to other things. she has a difficult time making up her mind, making big decisions. anything work related usually gets pushed to the side, because she'd rather be out having fun. lucie truly does have good intentions, and if she could help the entire world, she would do it in a heartbeat. however, her attention span is lacking and she can't focus on doing one thing for a long period of time without getting bored.

when it comes to relationships, lucie is loving and sweet (shocking, i know). lucie is capable of being romantic, and sometimes she just likes to have a night in and be held. but due to her fear of getting close to other people, she will choose a night out on the town with total strangers rather than a night in with someone she cares about. commitment issues have plagued her since high school, and people have noticed this about her. however, she doesn't talk about her past, so people tend to look at lucie as a mystery. she doesn't tell people why she doesn't date and she doesn't let other people know why she won't get close to other people.

in southern italy just outside of florence, parents domenica and carmello halladay gave birth to a beautiful baby girl, luciana. she being their only child, lucie was spoiled. her grandparents lived just down the street, and lucie was surrounded by loving members of her family since birth. her parents didn't have a lot of money, and neither did anyone in their family, but they always made sure that little lucie was taken care of, fed, and loved. in short, lucie never went without in her childhood. when lucie was seven, nicky and carmello decided to move to america to seek out a more prosperous life for their small family. and so, they moved to new york city, the hub of american culture.

new york was nothing like italy. it was a busy city with cars and people rushing everywhere, and it seemed to never sleep. little lucie, being the livewire that she was and still is, fit right in there. all throughout elementary school, lucie soaked in the culture and soon assimmilated, just as any other american child. her family still provided for her, and as nicky and carmello found more and more decent jobs, they went from being lower class to respectable middle class citizens.

lucie entered high school, and soon became very popular. she was naturally social and naturally attracted to making other people laugh. she enjoyed many extracurricular activities and soon became very school involved. she found a passion for clothes, and soon became very interested in new york's fashion scene. when she wasn't at school, cheering at a football game, helping to organize an event, or staying after to clean up, she was reading a fashion magazine or going to a mall to buy something new. it became apparent very quickly, during her sophomore year in high school, that she had a flair for fashion and it wasn't long before everyone in her high school knew who she was. she was quickly making a name for herself.

during her junior year of high school, and just a few short months after being named the captain of the varsity cheerleading squad, lucie met a boy. he was handsome and sweet, the quarterback of the football team. any cheerleader's (or any high school girl's, really) dream boyfriend. he was a true gentleman to her and he made lucie feel loved and important, much as her family always had. she trusted him very much, and they began dating towards the end of her junior year (and the end of his senior year). for six months, he treated her like a queen. there wasn't a girl at her high school that didn't envy the relationship she had with chris. however, the good times came to an end near the end of their six month together.

chris got into a fight with his mother about his college plans. he was clearly upset, and it was weighing heavily on his mind, so lucie offered to talk about it. after a couple of minutes, their bickering about why he didn't want to talk about it with lucie, it turned into a shouting match. of course, lucie and chris had gotten into fights before, but nothing quite this intense. pretty soon, chris ran out of things to say that might hurt lucie's feelings, and he hit her. when lucie fell to the ground, he broke down and cried, promising never to do it again. and of course, lucie believed him. he loved her, and he only hit her in a moment of weakness. he would never do it again. he'd promised.

and of course, it kept happening. it became easy for chris to use lucie as an outlet for his anger, and people began to notice the bruises on her arms and face. for a while, people bought stories about her clumsiness, about how she tripped over something she'd left lying on the floor, or how she'd run into something while she wasn't paying attention. but after a while, people started noticing trends. one day, her friend approached her about it, and reported it to the police without lucie's knowledge or consent. chris was put away for domestic violence. lucie was both devastated and relieved, and was able to get an order of protection from the state of new york.

years and years passed since then, and lucie liked to think that she'd healed from her relationship. however, she was still hesitant to get close to people and it had become routine to just brush other people off when they wanted something serious. she was never labeled as a whore or promiscuous, but she was never looking for anything serious. she grew up a little bit, still enjoying parties here and there, and acquiring a job as a fashion consultant with a small clothing company in new york. eventually, she landed a job designing costumes for television shows and was asked to move to los angeles to further her career. since then, she's been living in LA, working on television shows and the occasional movie, designing clothes and making costumes.
