shaun is the guy that tries to be everyone’s friend without it coming off as him being a wannabe. he spent most of his life going back forth from korea to america, so he had to learn how to make as many friends as possible. he was never one to stick with just one genre of friends, he was friends with everyone in school. to him friends were friends that came in all forms, so whether you were a jock or a goth or emo, whatever…if you let him talk to you then you had a friend for life. luckily he got to spend his high school years in america, where he was voted most likely to succeed, class clown and his friends gave him the title as most conceited. shaun wouldn’t consider himself conceited, he knew he was an attractive guy and took a personal interest in what he looked like. sure there were people out there who would disagree but there was nothing he could do about his looks, he had them and he embraced them. no point in sulking about it, live with what you got and be done with it. relationships…a tricky thing for him. he had his share of girlfriends but he was never faithful with any of them. he could honestly say that everyone that ended was because he cheated on them and they either caught him or he ended it to be with the other girl…only to do the same thing to her. so for now, he has decided to give up on the whole, finding your one and only until he is for sure ready to settle down with one person. shaun has also taken up celibacy but who knows how long that will actually last, he’s been celibate for four months now and he’s surprised that he’s even made it that far.


besides being a sucky boyfriend, he had things that kept him occupied. singing, dancing and martial arts. dancing was a passion of his that he had been doing since he was a young child. the first time he wanted to dance was when he saw michael jackson’s “smooth criminal” music video, and from then on he could be seen moon walking around the house. he had been caught singing ever since he was a little boy, any song he liked he would sing along and even put his own spin on it. you probably heard him on the radio once or twice, but you’d have to be in korea to hear him. when he was thirteen he got signed to an entertainment company who specialized in actors, dancers and musicians. before he decided to become a fight choreographer, he had been a stuntman just for the simple fact that he could take a few hits and not be phased by them. when he was younger, him and his friends would film themselves doing stupid things that sort of put you in the mind of jackass but not that extreme. he only lasted as a stuntman for two almost three years before he called it quits. it’s been a while since he’s been in america but now that he’s back – he’s focusing on making his job as a fight choreographer permanent. martial arts he picked up just because he wanted to do all the things that the power rangers did. funny yes, but so true. it also helped that his dad was an instructor and put him in the class when he was only sixteen months old. shaun isn’t really to big on impressing his dad, he always felt that his dad got lucky that he enjoyed it – otherwise he would’ve quit a long time ago.

shaun tran had a very…somewhat normal childhood. he was the only child to his parents, who seemed to spoil and shower him with love. he seemed to never be told no, anything he wanted or asked for he got. in the korean culture, him being the first son was a big deal. don’t ask why, it was just how it had been for thousands of years and shaun never really complained. he enjoyed it really, what person would want to give that privilege up? nobody, that’s who. though it didn’t make him a brat or anything, with getting everything you wanted – you still had to respect others and earn what you wanted. sure it seems confusing but it really isn’t that difficult to understand. he could ask for money or for his mom to cook him food and she would do it, but when it came to things such as getting a car or something – he had to work for it. not too hard but he still had to put in some effort around the house. with his dad being in the business, they always seemed to travel back and forth from america a lot – which caused shaun to have to become a versatile person and to learn to not get use to things. on one of their stays in korea, he lost his aunt and uncle to a house fire and therefore inherited karsyn into their household. he really didn’t mind it because he was so close to her anyway and he already treated her like a sister so it didn’t matter much to him. it just sucked that she had to be brought to them under those circumstances.

when he turned thirteen, he got signed to an entertainment company as a musician. his father wasn’t too thrilled about the whole thing because he wanted his son to one day take over the business. the thing about shaun was, he was never big on the idea of following in his father footsteps. the kid had a totally different beat to a whole new drum. he wanted to become everything that his father wasn’t not because he wanted to be an ass but because he wanted to do something that he loved doing. singing and dancing was what he loved to do at the time and he was gonna devote all of his time into that. his dad tried to put a hold on that by moving the family to america permanently. which is where the rift between him and his dad came from. though it didn’t stop him from completing his dream, he continued to work on his music and dancing whilst keeping the old man happy with the martial arts. when he entered high school, it wasn’t hard for him to make friends. the dreaded first day as a freshman was mere fun and enjoyment for him. it had never been hard for him to get up from one table and talk to other groups at another, he figured it was all about how you presented yourself and he did his best to impress everyone with his jokes and smiles. it was also in high school that he found out that apparently the ladies thought he was something to gawk over. he never really considered himself attractive, well, he knew he was good looking but there were some ladies who considered him godly. this of course, made his ego grow and he really started taking a notice in how he dressed and presented himself.

he never really cared too much for sports except for basketball, which he of course joined. that seemed to really boost him up the ladder of popularity at his school. shaun liked being active, he didn’t enjoy being the kid that went home and did absolutely nothing all day except play video games. no, he liked to actually have a life and friends whom he could call anytime and ask them if they wanted to hang out. social time was key. he also joined drama and did two years in choir and the last two years in orchestra. music as you could tell, was still a huge part of his life that he wasn’t giving up for anyone. when he completed high school, he did it just in time to go back to korea and try to work on his career. he spent the last seven years in south korea releasing albums, doing shows and just riding out his fame. feeling that he accomplished all that he could right now, he decided that he’d come back to america and focus on something different. one of his close friends was the one who got him into the whole idea of being a stuntman or something in the industry. at first he was against the idea of being anything remotely close to what his dad was but he realized he had to put his pride aside and do it. he landed his first movie a few months ago and it got good reviews for its fight scene. shaun resides in new york city with his cousin karsyn looking for movies who are in need of his expertise.
