Natalya's parents met in France. Her father was sent there by his parents to study in order to take over the family business, before joining the marines corps, since he was coming from a wealthy and respectful American/Spanish family. One night, when he went to watch a ballet performance a young and beautiful ballerina caught his eye and he immediately fell in love with her. He went at the theater every night, waiting for her, just to see her, when he finally worked up the courage to go talk to her. The two of them somehow fell in love with each other and became inseparable.

Claire and Craig got engaged and she followed him back to USA, when he became a marine, leaving her family behind and her dreams of becoming a big star in the ballet world, because she got pregnant with their first child, Philippe.The couple had to travel around a lot, because of Craig's job but after he quit the corps they settled back in New York where Craig was from. Several years later, after they got married and Philippe was born, Natalya's dad took over his father's company, with his wife at his side, always being there supporting him. The couple had their second child, Natalya, two years after they got the company and while Phillipe was 5. Even if their parents wanted to have 3 children and tried repeatedly for it, they were left only with Natalya and Philippe

Being the only daughter of her parents, Natalya always got what she wanted, because her parents just loved, and still love, to spoil their "princess" as they called her when she was little. That's why she can be a bit stubborn sometimes. Growing up in a luxurious house at the Upper East Side of New York, Natalya can be considered a true Park Avenue princess, even if she doesn't act like it some times. After all, what other Upper East Side resident would work at a club, or work in general for that matter?!

Her mother adores her daughter, but even all this happiness couldn't fill the empty spot that her personal dreams and ambitions left when she abandoned them. Over the years she got depressed and that lead her to seek for love and approval in other men's arms, and not in her children's father. Of course her father was doing the same for years, usually sleeping with his secretaries. There was a rough period in their relationship when they almost got a divorce but after months of therapy and visits to a wedding consultant they managed to stay together and of course avoid the scandal their divorce would bring.

Claire often talked to her daughter about her wedding problems, and Natalya knew about several of her mother's "relationships", though she never said anything about it. Of course that was too many information for Natalya to know, but she understood that Claire couldn't really trust anyone but her daughter. Natalya started spending less and less time at home after the crisis in her parents marriage. That's when she started working on her career

After she got an agent she started doing small commercials, and small TV roles... To say that it was a bed of roses that would be a lie. She was going to auditions for years and the rejection was always there until her big break came, with a TV series that rocketed her to fame, and which became a TV movie as well (the finale). After that roles and proposals kept coming. She got some major ad campaigns that made her even more recognizable and she starred at her first big screen movie at the age of 18 with pretty good reviews from the critics and the audience. Even though her second film movie wasn't such a success the reviews concerning her were very good, with film reviewers calling her the highlight of the film. That brought propositions for 2 new movies, the one a novel turned into the big screen and the other one an action movie. Both of the movies are expected to be a success. It's safe to say that Natalya is now a household name.

Natalya stayed up until the first morning hours, since her brother had returned from Europe for a few days, and they went to the airport to pick him up. So when she woke up in the afternoon, she got dressed and then went to the beach where she actually spend the whole afternoon by the water, doing absolutely nothing. That was probably one of the reasons she liked the weekends. After all, she had only a few valuable days of vacation before she started rehearsing for a musical she would be participating, and then start the promotion tour for her latest movie. Vanessa was like those Duracel bunnies, she always did something, she was way too much energized! She often complained about working too much but whenever she had more than two weeks of vacation she started to miss it and she would always find new projects to occupy herself with. That's what got her in Hollywood's A List after all!

Vanessa returned from the beach and being around town at about nine o'clock in the evening, and after taking a long and relaxing bubble bath she joined her family downstairs for dinner. Dinners at the Rochester Manor were always kind of formal and a big deal. Everyone was required to be at home on time and of course being dressed appropriately. So they were all having dinner together. Her father, mother, Philippe, Nessa, Christina and occasionally the guests they had over... Family friends etc. Which of course wasn't happening at the moment since it was one of the rare occasions the whole family was gathered so they wanted to keep it personal. Vanessa had decided to stay at her parent's house for a few days since she wanted to spend as much time with her brother as she could before he left again, instead of staying at her newly built home. After dinner was over Vanessa headed back up to her room, turned the music on and laid on her bed reading a magazine. She was planning on going out later... She wasn't going to spend her Saturday night at home!

At about ten thirty she closed her magazine, got up and started getting ready. She fixed her hair and then moved to her closet opening it, trying to decide what to wear, when she finally decided that her new Luis Vuitton dress, that she had bought while she was in France a few weeks ago, was just perfect. She laid it on her bed, and after she finished her make up she put it on carefully and then took a pair of matching golden Gucci gladiator high heels from her closet and she put them on, checking herself and the whole outfit in the mirror... She was definitely stylish tonight, and there was no doubt she would be getting some treats...

Vanessa opened her bedroom's door and headed to Philippe's, she knocked the door and without waiting for a reply from her older brother, she walked in. I'm heading to Red Buddha Lounge... Wanna come? she asked. But apparently her dear brother was too bored and tired from his trip to get dressed and go out. Nessa shrugged her shoulders and went back into her room taking her clutch bag and then made her way down the stairs to the living room where her mother was sitting, her father was obviously upstairs in the office. In any other situation there was no way she was asking Philippe to come with her... Seriously... Who would invite her 27 year old brother to come with her when she knew there would be guys where she was going? But she had missed him so she thought that spending some time together would be good. Well, some other time... He was staying for two weeks after all. Vanessa where are you going dressed like that? Claire Rochester asked her daughter. V shrugged her shoulders Out. Don't wait up for me! Good night! she said before she gave her a kiss on the cheek and disappeared out of the door before her mother was able to protest or say anything for that matter

A while later Vanessa was parking her car outside the club. After passing random people that stopped to greet her Vanessa made her way to the bar to get a drink. Vanessa waved to the barman to approach A vodka lemon she ordered when he asked her what would she like to drink
