dawn is that baby girl, the naive one who you have to explain all of the sexual innuendos to. she never really grew up past the age of sixteen, and at sixteen she was still kind of six. but all of that is changing as she becomes more and more accustomed to fame and the bright city life of new york. she's compassionate and very charming in her own, sweet way. and hidden somewhere under all that bubble gum is a fiery, passionate young woman.
dawn is very forgetful, and acts strictly on intuition because she never quite thinks through anything she does. she is falling in love with fame and city-life, and her spontaneous, whim-driven actions are mixing with this and giving her a little bit of a slutty reputation, just because she hasn't mastered hiding her personal life from the press yet. dawn is honest, fun-loving, and very sensitive to criticism, but since she hasn't had many opportunities to goof off yet, she's still very self confident, too. if you sat down and had a long conversation with dawn, you'd find that she can be sidetracked very easily, and since she will pour her heart out into anyone who'll listen, sometimes the things that come out of her mouth are witty, and other times they're goofy and ridiculously immature. as a child, dawn was often told to "put on her word filter" in school and at home, because although she doesn't blurt or interrupt, if you give her a turn to talk she'll talk for hours on end.
what does a girl like dawn talk about, though? the things she's passionate about. acting, dancing, boating, and honey. dawn's grandparents were beekeepers, so dawn knows a thing or two about honey, and she's a little bit addicted to it, she even carries around a honey-jar (carefully sealed) in her purse. she's passionate about boating because she's loved the water from a young age, it soothes and calms her down, and in dawn's eyes there is nothing more glamorous than a little sailboat with a stylish woman dressed in a 50's era bathing suit. summed up in one sentence, dawn is a spontaneous, happy-go-lucky young woman like a deer in the headlights when it comes to fame.

history evaluated.
dawn was born and grew up in fairbanks, alaska, with her older brother and her mom. her father and mother divorced shortly after dawn was born, and her father moved down to wasilla, alaska. both of dawn's parents were very wealthy, and so dawn and her brother henry were spoiled as young children. they grew up riding horses, wearing expensive clothing, going on cruise-lines and vacations to foreign countries often.
dawn's mother was a practical woman, and although she allowed her daughter to take ballet lessons, she always looked down on her daughter's dream of becoming a ballerina. so when dawn's peers and instructors told her she was a little to plump to be the perfect ballerina, dawn's mother offered little sympathy. this happened when dawn hit the age of fifteen and her body developed fully. so in her teen years she lost a little bit of the confidence and cheeriness that she'd had as a child. dawn still danced, and although she was one of the most talented dancers in the ballet academy there, they never featured her in productions and she was always a little bit out of the group.
upset and put down, dawn's grades started falling in her junior year of high school, and even more in her senior year. her father remarried around that time, marrying a woman with a daughter just a few years younger than dawn. this wouldn't have bugged dawn if the daughter, sylvie, wasn't a perfectly thin ballerina, just like dawn had once aspired to be. her brother was in law school, and her step sister was the perfect little girl, so it really made dawn feel out of place.
once dawn graduated, with the minimal grade in school, she was stumped on where to go from there. college was an option, but it would be hard to get through and she'd most likely have to pay fully for each class she took. ballet wasn't an option as a career, because of her size (which was more a hereditary thing than a dietary problem), which wasn't even that big.
so the summer after high school, dawn decided to take a vacation from responsibility for a while, and she flew down to california to stay with her favorite aunt, who had a high position job working for a cruise line. dawn's aunt michelle (who adored dawn), got dawn into a commercial for the cruise line, and dawn realized how much she liked acting, even if it was only for a commercial. luck hit her there, and dawn was asked to meet with a small acting agency. and the independent young adult she was, dawn met with them.
everything built from that point. dawn was put in a few more commercials, and given small roles in a few small movies, and then small roles in a few larger movies. she was a part of the industry. to dawn, it all moved so fast. within a few years she was being asked to do more and more, especially lipstick ads. makeup companies loved dawn for her creamy complexion, like a porcelain doll, and her full lips and big eyes.
at first, it was all very strange to dawn, she wasn't sure whether she loved it or hated it, but as another year passed she began to love it fully. fame was like a drug, she had to have it, the people, the class, the glamor, the money, the cameras, all of it was amazing. even with the little work dawn was doing, she was making a good amount of money, enough to get herself an extravagant downtown apartment, beautiful wardrobe, and all of the essential accessories one needs to flaunt their fame and fortune.

roleplay sample.Sasha had been walking a lot lately, most likely because his bike was a piece of junk and had entirely fallen apart a week ago, but sometimes it was just nice walking. His black acoustic guitar was slung over his shoulder, he had a notebook and pencil in his pocket, he was wearing a comfortable pair of sneakers, Sasha had everything he needed to survive. That and a nice open road to roam, a road currently named. . . Sasha looked up, not exactly sure what road his feet had taken him to, and very surprised when he recognized the oriental reds and golds of Chinatown. How the hell did I end up here? Sasha wondered, looking around at the buildings. Sometimes he asked himself if he had short term memory loss, because that would explain how he often ended up in random parts of the city just by taking a little stroll. But after asking himself that, Sasha always forgot what it was exactly that he had asked himself.
Sasha's stomach rumbled, so he sat down on a conveniently placed folding chair outside of an asian market and shoved his hand in his jacket pocket, fumbling around for some cash. He managed to scrounge up a five, two ones, and three nickels. Well then, looks like I'm rich! Sasha thought dully, putting the money back into his pocket. $7.15 might get him something, but he didn't really feel like Chinese food. He didn't really feel like anything, he just needed some food. Suddenly a flash of glamour caught his eye, and Sasha completely forgot food. Was this love at first sight? Was it lust? Sasha wasn't even in high school yet, so he was sure he didn't know what lust was, but whatever he was feeling. . . it was something.
She had that model stride, graceful and confident, expensive looking. How a stride could look expensive, Sasha didn't know, but this young woman had it down. He didn't even realize it had begun to rain until the young woman started dancing in it, skipping and hopping around the puddles on the sidewalk. He suddenly realized that she had made some progress in walking towards him, and was now hopping just a few feet away from Sasha's now fully soaked folding chair. He snapped out of his daze as he thought of how stupid he must've looked to her, sitting there in the pouring rain with his ratty old clothes and big guitar slung over his shoulder.
He stood up and smiled at her, watching her dancing in the rain had suddenly become the most amazing thing for him. Silent and bashful, Sasha began to skip around them with her, stepping nimbly over the steadily growing puddles. Oh my God, she's adorable! Sasha thought, for all other thoughts had been crowded out of his head. Being shy and self conscious, having a silent dance in the rain with some random (and utterly gorgeous) stranger was just about the wildest thing Sasha had ever done, but somehow he couldn't stop, nor could he say a word.
