UNLOCK YOUR HEART A LITTLE BIT
•AND RAISE THE MOMENT •
London to New York...it was quite a different environment. For one, the weather had been a shock to the system when he had first moved there, but now he was pretty used to it. In fact, if anything, he enjoyed it. When back in London he had always been advised to get a tan as soon as possible, since pasty white skin wasn't attractive for anyone to tune in every week to see. But now, he was building up a natural tan, most of the time when he returned home for a few days his own family didn't recognise him. And boy, did they have some embarrassing childhood pictures of a milk bottle white kid that he knew was him but honestly, wanted to forget all about. Now, he was finally making an impression on the acting scene, just like he wanted to and he couldn't help but give the credit to the tan he had now acquired.
Following a successful audition with a long running and most popular television show, Life Intertwined, he now knew he was going to be broadcast into people's living rooms across the nation. This was it, the big break he had been working towards since he had first fell in love with acting. Now, all he had to do was prove that he was worth casting and manage to pin down the jock image that the show was wanting for the character. He had to admit that he wasn't exactly a muscular he-man, he was definitely no body builder, but he wasn't a skinny rake of a guy either. He enjoyed playing soccer on a regular basis, and was even part of a Saturday morning league when he found the time to play. That helped but it wasn't enough for him to become the jock that the show needed to make it a hit. And so, he had set about making himself into that character, as much as he could. This meant research, it meant field work and it also meant concentrating on his career a lot more.
It wasn't that he had lost his focus, it's just that lately he had run into a strange run of events that had made him a little more than confused. It all started one day when he was in a local cafe, enjoying a cup of tea and reluctantly reading through a few more scripts with bit parts that his agent had sent over. But just when he thought the day couldn't get any stranger, a beautiful woman had wandered in with her friends, sat on his lap and kissed him. Stunned at such a forward gesture, he had watched as she walked away from him and back to her table. It had been one of the strangest experiences of his entire life and he definitely had no interest in those scripts after that. His agent had even become so worried when he flippantly sent all the scripts back with a simple note on it saying 'Don't think these are right for me'. He had simply lost concentration, that's all but now he was back on track and his determination had been rewarded with a huge main cast part that was bound to make him a household name around the US.
Right now, he was returning from his latest research day, visiting sports events that were happening all over New York. It had taken him all morning but he wanted to make sure he got a broad view of what kind of work went into preparing for these sports as well as the games themselves. He had ended it with a half hour in the local gym, showering off quickly before making his way back towards the new apartment he had recently moved into. Although he loved his job and everything associated with it, he knew that without any leisure time to himself he would go crazy. So, he was rushing as fast as he could to get back home and simply sit down in front of the tv with a beer and just relax...although he had been advised to not have any alcohol whilst on the show but this was just the one, it wouldn't be so bad right? There was that little voice again, the one that always threatened to throw him off the wagon and back under the spell of drink. No, he would just have a cup of tea or a glass of water, that would be the same.
Walking down the street leading up to the apartment block, he had been rubbing his forehead roughly as he talked to his agent. It seemed the part he had somehow managed to land in such a hit tv show wasn't enough for Jerry Carey and his crack team. Oh no, they wanted something more for him, big move deals, merchandise, everything. Alexander was getting a little frustrated on the phone as he heard his agent go on and on about how big he was going to be and how things were finally going his way. He was getting way ahead of himself and now, it was time for Alexander to put him straight.

"Jerry please, you're....you're getting way ahead of yourself here mate. I've only just got a tv part and now you're onto movies?...I want to just spend some time on the show and see where it goes..."
He sighed once more as he heard his agent simply telling him the same old thing, making him squeeze his car keys in his hand that much tighter. But, little did he know, as he turned towards his apartment building that he would be surprised as he was. A dog suddenly appeared from nowhere, immediately coming up to him, making him stop in his tracks. Kneeling down, he began to pet the dog with a small smile, glancing around as he did.

"Where did you come from, huh?...No, not you Jerry, there's a dog that's come from out of nowhere, i'm just wondering..."
Before he could finish his sentence, a pair of feet soon appeared in front of him. Looking up, he spotted a woman looking down at him with a smile, the sun shining behind her as if it was a holy halo of rays. Slowly getting to his feet, he looked into her eyes with a small smile.
