Rick knew what he was getting himself into. He was always one step ahead of everyone, he made sure of that. For everything to go smoothly and without error he had to ensure to cover all the bases. He hadn't planned to take Schuyler out for drinks, but when an opportunity presented itself, he took advantage of it. Andrea hadn't told anyone who he was, or he would have a received a less than warm welcome from what seemed to be her best friend. It all started of harmless, he had went in hoping to find some company as he took a break from his work. It turned out better than that, he had planned to just talk and hopefully win her over some. She and many others would probably be his number one problem when the news got out. No-one wanted to befriend the guy that abandoned their best friend. He was the big bad wolf, you were not to talk or even look at him. It would make things hard for him, so he wanted to get on Schuyler's good side from now, before she found out and hopefully it would be easy to convince her of his false good intentions when the time came. But taking her out was never apart of the plan.
He had been keeping tabs on Andrea, that was no secret. Which meant he inadvertently kept tabs on her friends, hence why he knew who this girl was. She was a drunk and liability. Those were the conclusion he had drawn after seeing what he needed to see. Sky wasn't the sort of person he wanted hanging around Andrea, she was negative press and a bad influence. There he went acting the doting father again, but he didn't want Sky hanging around Andrea because he didn't want her bad habits rubbing off on her. He didn't want Andrea to become a washed up ahs been who spent all her money on drink and drugs and slept around like a common whore. Squandering her money, the money that would eventually be his. Some of it anyway. He didn't see what Andrea possibly saw in the girl, she was far too easy to please. A couple of compliments here and there and she was like some drugged up puppy. It was shameful. But he didn't let his opinions blind him, he agreed to take her out of drinks. And he would stick to his word.
When the day drew to a close and the sky grew dark, he shut his laptop and finished work for the day. He took a quick shower and had changed into a suit. He had found Sky's number in the directory and called her up telling her to be ready by eight. He planned to take her to one of the few lounge bars he had visited in LA. It was one that had managed to catch his eye and seemed to have good company when he fancied it. He slicked back his hair and donned a light jacket as he left his apartment. Rick drove to her apartment, honking the horn twice and waited until she got in. He would be lying to say he hadn't looked her up and down when she had gotten into the car. The drive was silent between them, the low hum of music being the only audible sound. He could sense she was nervous for some reason or another. But dismissed it keeping his eyes on the road and his goal on their destination. He stopped the car, out front and handed the valet the keys. The place was that classy. He hoped she wouldn't embarrass him with any drunken antics. He ushered her inside to a corner booth and signaled for a waitress. "How are you? You look nervous" he asked, flashing that ever so charming smile of his.
